Vesper Are you still late? Still avoiding testing?

Yes still late. No point in testing at the moment. I don't know exactly when I ov'd as have lost my cbfm but my very educated guess is what I've worked on. But I could easily be a couple of days out. Hence the waiting.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • star DH's family reacted in a strange way too and I had to leave them to come round which they did eventually. It's definitely not rude to say you don't want to discuss sensitive issues.

    Good luck with stimming WW.

Mmm... sedation has been the best part so far :D.

Wow Vesper You have better self-restraint than I have. How are you feeling?

I hooe your stimming goes well WW are you on Menopur? I can't believe I've triggered and I have no more injections to do of an evening. How did I fill the time before ?!?

RG: I'm really looking forward to being sedated...is that wrong LOL! And how are you feeling?

Oh, and T2D if I post after EC, I can guarantee it will be Gobbledegook. I'm bad enough posting from my phone at the best of times!
  • Morning everyone, had to scrape the ice off the car this morning which I was not expecting!

Code - I have made all the new "mums" on my FB disappear from my news feed....easier that way.

RG - hope the next week or so goes quickly for you. What does OTD stand for? I'm guessing its something to do with testing?

PM - hope your follies start doing their thing!

Derby - how exciting, really pleased everything is moving forwards for you.

Star02 - some people just don't get it. My family were the same - the whole "just relax and it will happen". I just wanted to say eff off. Its not going to happen like that. I have something MEDICALLY wrong with me?!

T2D - do you get the whole "so is there any news"? I've turned round and said when there is something to tell you I will tell you, until then I'm not updating on a daily basis as to my CM/AF status! I'm not sure what they do here by way of EC whether its sedation or GA. Thats the bit I am terrified of......

Vesper - any news?! See look, here I am doing what I hate people doing. Shoot me.

Sewit - would you recommend the counselling?

WonderW - hope the stimming goes well.

And as for me, its CD10 so just plodding along. I think ov will be anytime between CD16-CD20 based on my 30 day cycle so guess we'll start the process again this weekend......

I keep thinking it will only take one little swimmer to get through......

LittleMe & WW - Counselling is useful and I would recommend it. This is specialist fertility counselling and both DH and I attend. We've only had two sessions, but I find them useful. DH not so much. We talk about how we are handling things and it has been useful in making me see that DH and I handle things differently and that that is ok. We also talk about how to cope with the lows of IF and how to try and get brave enough to go again. I find it useful talking to someone who is understanding cause she has seen it all before. I don't need to explain the process or justify how I'm feeling as she just gets it. DH is not keen in going back cause he feels he doesn't need it, but I'm insisting that we both go cause we are in it together. It should always be offered by your clinic, so try it and see.

Vesper - you are very restrained, but I understand why you are not testing. It can be so depressing and sometimes you want to live in 'not knowing land' a wee bit longer. I have very rarely tested throughout this whole process, its also a big waste of money!

LittleMe - I too was terrified of sedation, but it was brilliant. The nurse actually said to me 'don't look so worried.' The sedation goes in and you are out. Even when you 'wake up' and you can hear people talking, it is like you are in a floaty stage. Everyone is different though, but you will be fine. OTD is Outcome Test Day I believe.

star02 - not rude at all to ask people not to discuss it in front of you. I've said to my family that I will tell them when I have news or need to talk and until then not to ask/chat about it. No one really knows what we are going through, and I for one am very sensitive about it. If it bothers you, tell them to quit the chat when you are around.

WW - good luck for stimms!

T2D - what a horrible journey home! Hope the stimms are going ok.

RG - hope OTD comes quickly!

Derby - how's its going, when is your next scan? Hope your follies are big and juicy!

    hugs, xxx

Derby definitely not wrong to look forward to sedation! Good luck tomorrow; make sure your DH gives you loads of TLC. I'm feeling ok at the moment; starving most of the time! DH did a double take at our latest food shopping bill.

Littleme I was scared of it too but it was fine although when I came round I asked DH how many ciders I had the night before because my mouth was dry and I initially couldn't remember going into the clinic. DH then asked the nurse for some of what I was on :rotfl:.

    Vesper fingers crossed for you.

    OTD is Official Test Day.
Am I the only person who stays complete awake during sedation?!?! Eeeek, always new I was a bit weird. They give me lorazepam beforehand because I simply do not drop off and am a bit of a handful tbh, give me good old GA any day.

    Watching for news ladies :-)
