Good luck today to Derby for ET and Star02 for your FS appointment.

Derby - really really hoping all goes well today. You are in my thoughts.

AFM - Menopur side effects are kicking in. Terrible headache (which has since subsided) and increased bloating. Plus I'm soooo tired. I know that's something people always complain about, but seriously I'm struggling to stay awake, and certainly struggling with focus.

Tonight I'm going to try and be disciplined and just go home, and go to bed nice and early.
  • DH had a go at me last night for being pessimistic. I was like, are you serious? We have been trying for a baby for well over a year, and NTNP for ages and ages before that. My cycles are weird. You have basically no sperm. The only hope is probably IVF which means invasive procedures and drugs that will really screw with my sanity, and even then the odds aren't great. And I shouldn't be pessimistic? GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE.

    ^^^^^^^^This.

angeltreats, you've basically summed up my life! I know exactly what you're feeling, it's like you've written that statement above about me and my DH. Sometimes you do feel like throttling them!
  • Huge hugs to everyone, I'll bring some chocolate cake and the wine for those who enjoy a tipple :D

lilmissmup - Have you been told you wont get IVF? Dont presume you cant because your partner already has kids. I presumed the same because I already have 2 kids, but because himself doesnt then we are entitled. I'm sure its different all over the country though.

I cant decide whether I am fed up with this now, just not caring or theres still a bit of optimism there. I had the one day period last week, then a bit of bleeding last night. Ovulation bleeding, implanation bleeding? God knows bleeding? As I said rather clinically to my partner we'd better have sex anyway just in case.
And then I get a phone call telling me I really need to have a repeat Colposcopy done next week which means no sex for at least 4 weeks. How the heck am I supposed to get pregnant without doing that

Can I go in awaiting FS or other appointment group please, or maybe just the limbo one...

    Hi everyone!

Sorry about the BFN Vesper...as if things are tricky enough without our bodies throwing weird curveballs.

I have to confess I giggled at a newborn with a spraytan. I'm actually surprised someone hasn't tried it yet :-(

Well...afm...they got 3! eggs so it seems I got a bonus one from somewhere. She said they can't tell yet whether they''re all mature, but they look as they should. They won't go to blast unless all three fertilise so fingers crossed.

I feel ok...bit of bleeding and cramping and she recommended I take tomorrow off. Hubby looking after me well and even bought me a new dressing gown to mark the occasion!

    Hi all, me again.

Well I'm back to say hi and join you for good although I probably will still lurk on the TTC site.

Had our appt with GP yesterday and am being referred for CD21 blood tests plus hubby needs to have the SA test. He's so good because he wants to do it to know if we have a problem but equally, doesn't want to know either which I totally understand.

Had my mini reflexology session this morning and it was nice - very short but told her about some of my stresses (family illness) and TTC for 1 year but no luck. Thankfully she specialises in fertility and does a number of things to support so I'm tempted to try some out. I did have a read of her testimonials beforehand and a lady I went to school with is on there after 3 MC's and sucessfully concieving her little girl who's now about 1.

Am sure a hell of a lot of our problems are our stress issues but sadly they aren't going to go away any time soon, just need to work out how to manage them better.

Wishing you all lots of luck on this journey
    Much love
    Gelly

Will do Star. Is that what you were expecting? Or did you get bad SA news today?

Hugs, and yay for a real plan quite soon. :)

And great news Derby!! Congrats, and fingers crossed for your three little eggs tonight.

RG said she wanted to stay with them and 'hold their hands' when the eggs were fertilizing, and I totally understand the sentiment. It's amazing how soon you feel protective.

I have 9 little embies (only 1 day fertilized) in the freezer, and already I feel very much like they are our kids. We discussed recently (very prematurely) what we would do if we didn't end up using them, and it's a real dilemma. Hopefully one we won't face though.

Anyway, congrats, and thinking of them all in their little lab overnight.
