Hi Ladies,
I'm looking for some advice if I can?
My 16w check up should be next week. I was told I couldn't book it that far in advance at my booking appt and to call a week before to book.
I called on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, leaving clear messages each time and still no ones called me back. I've tried the GP surgery and midwife co-ordinator, both of whom told me they couldn't help and I just had to leave a message on the number I have been and wait for someone to call me back.
I've waited a week now with no call back - am I being unreasonable? I doubt they can fit me in next week at such short notice and I absolutely can't do the week after, so I'll be minimum of 18 weeks before I get my 16w appointment. That's if they ever call back!
I really don't know what to do. Any ideas ladies?

Whose is the number you've been calling? Is it the midwives?
I've been given loads of different numbers, and I think I would try calling a couple of those to see if anyone could help (although it does sound as if you've already done this a bit...). Maybe they could see you at a different clinic... that actually answers their phone! I got a sticker with lots of numbers at my booking in appointment, incl the community midwives.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Unless you want to see the midwife for a particular reason sexkitten I wouldn't worry too much. I had mine at 17 weeks, the just check blood pressure and urine etc and listen to the heart beat.
However having said that, waiting a week is ridiculous and I'd call again on Monday, you might get a cancellation space or something. It's only a short appt so they might have a space if you complain.0 -
20 weeks today, on one hand I'm excited to be 'half way' on the other the pre scan nerves have really kicked in.
On the subject of leave... We're another 'use it or lose it' company with holiday that runs Jan - Dec. I'm lucky enough to get 29 days plus bank holidays so am planning to finish over a month earlier and start actual mat leave on my due date. Should mean I finish last week in February at about 35 weeks if all goes according to plan.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
Hello everyone :hello:
