Oh and my hormones are all over the place, currently sitting in floods of tears at the John Lewis Christmas advert!!0

Congratulations Con on your scan picture!! The John Lewis advert got me going as well. Every time I cry at something on the tv DH cracks up laughing. He thinks its hilarious! It doesn't help that pretty much anything can set me off, it doesn't have to something emotional that I'm watching.0

Thanks for all the good luck wishes ladies!
Scan went really well, little one was wriggling around all over the place. Looks like we're team pink! A bit surprised but over the moon!
Con, glad yours went well too. Lovely pic.
Claire, glad they've discharged you but I imagine it must be unsettling not knowing the cause. Hope that's the last time your little one scares you.0 -
Pleased to hear you're back at home Claire... fingers crossed you don't get any more scares.
I'm trying pregnancy yoga tonight for the first time - I'm both intrigued and nervous! I have a 10 minute walk to work each day and it's about half way between home and work so nice and close if I want to keep it up!Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
Oh and we are team neutral !!
Want to buy things though lol, just can't see anything I want yet0 -
Thanks for your nice comments everyone. I still swing back and forth between feeling like it's a boy or girl.
I can't do yoga as my physiotherapist said it might be bad for my PGP. I really wanted to maintain some level of fitness and muscle tone to help with the labour.I also have to wear a tight belt around my hips everyday from now on. Oh well, things could be worse.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
The John Lewis advert reminds me of the Animals of Farthing Wood a childrens programme in the 90's. The emotion of the hedgehog crossing.

Pelvic girdle pain. It used to be known as SPD (with was something Pubic Dysfunction I think) but PGP covers instability of the whole pelvis and not just the pubic bone. It affects a lot of women in pregnancy and can affect people who've been in accidents or had sporting injuries, however the medical profession are a bit rubbish about this subject and often haven't even heard of it. I know one woman who was in agony and in crutches for months, and I've been told about others who were in wheelchairs or needed family help even after the birth. Many private physiotherapists and osteopaths claim to be able to help whereas the NHS just seems to give out crutches and assume it will get better after the birth.
I don't think I have it that bad at the moment, but my cousin had it terrible and my sister had terrible pain in her crotch too. A friend of mine had pain when sleeping and would hear her pelvis crack when she tried to turn over in bed. I don't have the typical version, I feel like I've been kicked in each buttock, struggle to sit upright with my body weight on the bottom of my pelvis, driving is uncomfortable after a while and sometimes have to walk with very small steps. Many women may not realise they have it and put it down to normal pregnancy symptoms.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
