Well I'm on the sofa with no plans of moving anywhere apart from the loo etc

DH is out but I've got drinks & snacks and he can come back if I need him.

Nothing came out in the night so I'm just hoping & praying nothing does today either. Baby is moving about.

I just wish I was a few weeks ahead as I'm scared of the worst happening and at this stage it's too early..

On the sex front, we've carried on pretty much as normal (well, pre-TTC 'normal' i.e. about once a week if we're lucky! :o) but I think OH is going to start getting less bothered as I get bigger. As it is I've been keeping a top on so he doesn't get weirded out by my bump! :p I thought he'd be really squeamish about doing it with another person in the way but he's been pretty good so far, he said a few weeks ago that some of his friends were asking how long it had been since we'd 'done it' as they'd expected him to be on a ban and he was pleased to say it had only been a few days! :rotfl:

I read something a while back about it actually being a good thing as long as you've got no issues like low-lying placenta or cervical weakness and I figure that once we have this baby sex will be the last thing on our minds so might as well try to keep going for as long as possible! :)

ETA: Glad there's been no more blood Claire, look after yourself today. :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • Good you're taking it easy Claire and hopefully scan tomorrow will out your mind at rest a bit. That's easy for me to say - I think my mind will only be at rest once I've actually got baby in my arms!

As I have low lying placenta me and DH are having to go without DTD which is difficult but worth it. I had a little bit of brown mucous last Friday so I just stayed in bed the weekend and am trying to take it easy, or as much as poss when I have a 2 yr old to look after.

My belly is huge now. I keep forgetting its in the way. I think keeping myself neat and tidy down there is going to become more and more difficult. By the birth the little one will be shouting I'm a celebrity!!! :rotfl:
  • hahaha Faith that made me chuckle :)

    How far are you?

Just as I thought I was getting over the sick/dizzy it came back today.

Was a bit lightheaded this morning but had a banana and got dressed, about half way into my 20min drive to work everthing started spinning and I had to pull over at side of the road... it took me a good 5-10 mins to square myself up which wasn't helped by the fact I was panicing as I was myself...

I managed to get back home so phoned in work. Was sick everywhere and now have a pounding headache :( Have phoned the hospital and they want to see me later on with the possibility of getting a drip in - has anyone had this before ??

I can't help being worried about missing work. I know they can't give me a warning etc but I just worry they will think I'm at it. Don't think I've managed a full week the last month or so :(

If they think you're dehydrated they might give you a drip.

They put the cannula in me yesterday which wasn't fun but then never did it in the end, I think as my pulse came down. I think that can be linked to dehydration.

Try not to worry about work, I had to let mine know I wasn't coming in for the rest of the week yesterday. I can't let that stress me out I have enough to worry about without that, so I'm not!

Why do the tv programmes I'm watching not help though - 90210 someone has a miscarriage and now in Masters of sex the pregnant lady is bleeding!

Just like when I had a mc last year & we watched a film and the woman was getting an ultrasound done, was supposed to be a silly alien film!

    Thanks :)

Hope you are okay, I would say try not to worry but I know that will be impossible, I worry at every little thing. The fact hospital sent you home I would think is very positive though.

I'm watching music channels... well I'm not actually watching, my head is still pretty woozy so can't really concentrate on anything.
