Sam I bought furniture last week (at 13 weeks, it was a good deal that I couldn't miss) otherwise I would have prob waited a little bit longer.
Can I ask when people started feeling movements or flutters??0 -
Hope all is well Claire
Sam I havent bough a thing, thought I would after my 12 week scan and now I'm thinking after 20...............
Can I ask when you ladies first felt any movement? I'm 17+1 and havent felt anything yet, I know it can be a bit later for first timers. Defo feeling like I'm getting a bit of a bump now, but in clothes I just look like I'm getting a bit fat0 -
Morning ladies
Jen & Debs - I've only just started feeling movements in the last week or so and I'm 20 +2 (and a first timer!).
Sam - We've bought a few things if we've seen good offers.
Which reminds me, I need to get mattresses for the moses basket we got second hand and the cotbed. Anyone know the difference between quilted and perforated moses basket mattresses?
Any recommendations for either size? Im going to have a look on ebay, prices in the shops look quite high, especially the cotbed mattress at m&p.Mini me due March 2014

I haven't bought anything yet! I thought I would after my 12 week scan but then afterwards I decided to wait until the 20 week one. I thought I'd give in but my next scan is on Wednesday and I haven't got anything yet! I've seen offers, but not really on the stuff that I want so have managed to wait. Although we've been spending money on house stuff instead while we can still afford it and I can help to get things done. All being well ok Wednesday I envisage a big shopping spree on Thursday!0

Scan showed normal fluid & no problems with placenta. Basically the same as last week. So bleeding is unexplained which is better than a horrible obvious problem. Then saw the dr who seemed a bit bemused as to why they were even checking for fluid level and I said I think the consultant was just being cautious.
Still have to wait for test results incase I had an infection but that's it.
So good news! I'm now feeling a bit cautious to buy more stuff - out Moses basket stand is ready to be picked up from mothercare now, DH is determined we go tomorrow & be positive again.
We waited til last week after the scan to buy anything because my friend had bad news at the 20 week scan last year & I just couldn't get that out of my mind.
I still feel like I want to lie down with my legs crossed & I have ting bits of brown dry blood when I go to the loo but fingers crossed it won't happen again.0 -

So glad baby is ok Claire. Also the inside of my nose is sore, had a couple of little nosebleeds - not gushy ones but just where I've wiped my nose and noticed some blood for a bit. Was told it's nothing to worry about but now the inside of my nose feels tight and sore. Do hope I'm not coming down with somethingCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
