  • Thanks again Aqua, I have now looked up my options on the local trust website and have checked that yes I did see a 'student consultant', and have got the number of who to call if I need to do it myself.
I also found out the very nice (and good at explaining things) lady who did my Amnio (the needle bit, there was also the screening midwife and a different 'student consultant' there), is a regular OBGYN consultant. So if they argue about me changing I guess I could try saying she was great and I'd like to continue with her!?

Hi ladies, sorry about my last thread I realised after that i'd posted on the wrong thread and that this isn't the under 12 weeks haha. Just to update you, the bleeding has stopped and i had my booking in appt yesterday (she put me as 9 weeks 3 days but im sure im only 8). Midwife said the bleeding doesnt concern her as it was brown and only when i wiped and im getting lots of symptoms still. Thanks for all your advice anyway ladies and i'll be over on this thread in a few weeks hopefully :)
  • Good luck Sunshine! :)

teabag - don't apologise! I had similar to you so know how scary it is. Plus posting on the 'next thread up' can be useful as the ladies there have all been through that stage. I've done that too and it was very helpful. I hope to see you back here again soon x

    Welcome Derby :)

Hugs to all those feeling carppy. Can I join the feeling pants club? I've had such an awful headache there was no way I could have gone to work today. I feel really guilty about it though. I've heard headaches are pretty common in pregnancy but hope I'm not going to keep getting them like this. It's really debilitating and it's not like I can just reach for the cocodamol.

Wangdoodle - have you tried the 4head stick? I seem to have been plagued with headaches in my 2nd trimester and it has really helped!

good luck sunshine! will be lurking for your news.

teabag - glad to hear the bleeding has stopped and you are feeling more positive.

robots - re FB, again I didn't want to put on a "oooh look at my scan/us" type post as I also have friends you are struggling with infertility issues. I told everyone I'd want to know in particular personally, and since then there have been a couple of vague posts on there about being "hormonal", craving clementimes (at Xmas) and getting fat(!). Other people have commented on these so most people do appear to know now, but having said that, last night bumped into some other friends (who are on FB) but had no idea and were surprised to see my bump!!!! It's a bit of a minefield!

hugs to everyone else feeling c4rpy. as my immune system is so low from the bug, my cold has now migrated to a horrible chesty cough, so need to go to Boots at lunch and see if there's anything at all I can take for that! Roll on the weekend! x
