:j Hi Skint, so nice to see you here :)

I'm plodding on, have read back, but my short term memory is shocking at the moment! I went to aquanatal for the first time on Tuesday as prior to becoming pregnant I worked out 5 times a week, and have done nothing recently-I think metafit would kill me now!
I am still so excited about being team pink, had a(nother) wee weep in Mothercare yesterday buying a wee pink "Daddy I love you" vest for OH/baby. Come to think of it, the emotions are all over the place-I was crying earlier in the car when a Greenday song came on and I was singing along then telling the bump that her big brother loves Greenday and will let her listen to his CD's- I was just overwhelmed with love for my wee family, oooft, I'm off again, this is ridiculous!

Wow, I'm so happy to see you here Skinty! :j So glad that the treatment has been working, hope the next 6 months flies past in a really boring haze for you! :D
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • Grrr....I have a bladder infection :(:(:(

Had majorly awful pains yesterday (so bad I thought something might be wrong with baby) so went to doctors this morning and found out.

Worst thing is, the only antibiotics they have given me that are safe for baby, have penicillin in (which I'm allergic to!) Dr said it was a better trade off between using something that hadn't been tested much on pregnancy and unborn babies. So I'm happy I know what it is, but will have to monitor myself closely for any reaction!!

Hope everyone else is great today, it's Friday woop :)

  • oh mysecretalias that's rubbish :( good to know it's a urine infection though and not anything more serious. hope the antibiotics don't cause anything!

just been to my midwife appointment, all pretty standard she tested my wee and did my blood pressure, felt my tummy too. she told me to book my antenatal/parent craft classes after my 20 week scan. I can either have a 3 week course of 3 2 hour sessions, or a 2 full day course (Saturday Sunday) at my local hospital. not sure which I'll go for, she said they are both the same.

    Welcome skintchick!!

Hope you feel better soon mysecretalias!

Baby is currently kicking me really really hard in what feels like the cervix...He/she is trying to escape already! Its a very odd feeling. Has anyone else had that? I feel the majority of my movements really low down so i think baby must be head up at the moment and using my cervix as a trampoline.

5 hours and counting until scan time...can't beleive i have to wait aaaallllll day!!
  • I'm happy for you skintchick, I recognise you from elsewhere in MSE too. Wishing you an uneventful pregnancy.

my secret alias, I hope you feel better soon. Shame about the side effects, I hope you don't get any.

Best wishes for today cllola x
