    Hey Ladies

Robots, that's so nice of the Lidl staff, glad you got rescued in good time.

    Lovely bump pic Sunshine :)

Aqua, I hope that the pain stays manageable for you so that you can stay in work. Your commute sounds tiring though. I hope your work will let you travel outside of rush hour - that sounds like a great suggestion.

Sorry you're still feeling sick MrsMuffin and Glimmer. I hope it will disappear very soon!

Thanks for the good wishes, I think the meds have done their trick as I feel a bit better. I'm pretty sure I whacked my bone and not the baby, there's still no bruise or anything. Gutted it's still 2 and a half weeks to my scan though, I'd love to press a little button and see what's going on there and check everything is alright! Maybe I should get a doppler.

Still got loads of niggly pains and mega indigestion. I'm not blooming either!

I'm staying in denial about birth for a bit longer :) Good luck on the next thread Jen.

that's such a good bump picture sunshine! I am 17 weeks today and mine is nothing like that I'm wondering if I should be worried?! haha. but then I googled 17 week bump pics and there's such a huge amount of difference. you look lovely :)

I might try and take a picture today. I mostly wear dresses and none of them are tight so you can hardly see anything ha. my work uniform is defintely getting too tight though. it's a press stud nhs tunic so not much room for growth! x

Firey I posted my bump picture of 17 & 27 weeks on the other thread a couple of days ago. I felt like my tummy had really started to poke out, and it had a bit I did have to wear maternity jeans, but you can see the real difference after about 21/22 weeks on me so my 27 pic is very different! Think it just shows on everyone differently!

    Morning All!

I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and don't want to leave this thread :o

Quick question, does anyone get their bumps measured at the midwife appointments? I am yet to have mine measured.

My midwife always seems to be running late so my appointments are always rushed and i'm basically in and out in less than 5 mins! I do have questions but because its like a rush she makes me forget and next thing I know I'm sitting in my car leaving :(

I didn't get measured till my last appointment at 29 weeks.

I've seen so many different midwives so far, and always feel like that was a waste of time!! But I have to remind myself that if I needed a long appointment it would be because there is something wrong, so take comfort in that.

Try writing down your questions before hand so you don't forget what you wanted to ask!
 Mini me due March 2014
  • Thanks sjlou - will do that - my next appointment isn't until the 7th Feb when I will be 27 weeks.

My brothers friends have just had their first baby she was 6 weeks early

Just realised that I have only one more week left on this thread as I am 23 weeks today!! Pretty scary stuff because it only seems like five minutes since I was introducing myself on here. My only question is that I seem to only be able to find a club 27 thread. Is this the big girl thread or am I looking at the wrong one?? I thought there was a 24 weeks and onwards thread. If anyone has a link that would be fab as I was going to have a nosy. Much like children visit nursery before they start fully :D

Vicky (my autocorrect tried to change your name to cocky! Eek!) the big pregnancy thread is the 27 one. I've been following it since we found out and posting since about 12 weeks. It's a "covers all" thread, but the under 12 week one and this one helps to ease people into it, since there are birth stories sometimes posted on the big one. HTH! :)

Ah cool, thanks Mrs_T_M. Glad you noticed the autocorrect. I'm not sure what I would have thought otherwise lol :P xx
  • Hope you feel better soon MrsMuffin. I'm certainly not blooming yet! I don't recall every blooming in my last pregnancy either!

Mrs_T_M I can't wait to feel my little one move, I can already feel taps and what feels a bit like tickles, but it's not the same as proper hard kicks!
I don't have any mirrors at the right height but OH is home tomorrow so may get a bump shot then!

you have a nice neat bump too sunshine.

Glad you're starting to feel a bit better Lara. Hopefully you'll start to feel baby move soon, then you can feel a bit more relaxed while you wait for your scan.

My midwife phoned this morning, she's had to cancel my appointment next Weds, and wanted to move it to lunchtime, which would mean I'd have to go all the way to work, work for about an hour and half to go all the way back to go back to work for another hour and a half. So I'm having it on the 29th instead at the original time.
I'm 16 weeks next Friday so I don't suppose it matters which week I have the appointment as the first was a couple of days before, now it's just 5 days after 16 weeks.
Finally got my letter with the screening results, 1 in 26,000 so really happy about that as it's low risk. Also the pain in my pelvis hasn't been half as bad as yesterday as I've not moved about as much. I'm on holiday from work until Monday now, so overall it's been a good day!
  • talking about bump size earlier, my OH has just looked across at me on the couch and said 'look at your belly?!' I was like what? he said you've got a proper bump! iv never noticed it until now! it's our baby in there! getting all mushy haha. maybe I look a bit bigger than I thought :D
  • Aqua - I'm glad you got a good test result :)

I'm loving the bump pictures! Sometimes I look at myself and think I'm def getting bigger, sometimes not.

I had my knitting group for the first time since before Xmas, (& before 12 wk scan), and was so very happy to be able to finally tell them. I'd told one of the ladies about my hospital scary tests last week, but not anything about why I was there. She asked me how I was doing now, so I replied "I'm fine thanks, and so is the baby". The expression of surprise and joy on her face was delightful to see. I'll never forget that :D
