been on a night shift overnight and I am definitely finding them harder than usual :( they don't usually bother me at all but tonight iv felt so tired and really dizzy at times too when I stand up. the extra money is good though :-/

does anybody else work shifts? x
  • Mary - I wont take baby swimming. My 2 girls love swimming (DD1 is quite a strong swimmer now) - so DH can take both, while I watch :)
I have a travel cot so all good. - Ill take everything for baby.

Butlins is more expensive than a £9.50 holiday (we are doing a weekend in July as well) - but much cheaper than booking direct with Butlins :)

    Good luck!

I really shouldnt go on right move. Ive just seen a house just down the road from us, which has 3 beds and a down stairs loo, and a porch and a lounge diner all for a price we probably could afford. Its not a dream home in the sense theres nothing particularly amazing about it but its so expensive round here its the exact type of thing we would want to buy, and most houses like that are massively over priced in my opinion ( I saw a 2 bed with 1 bath advertised for 30k more for example!). It also says no chain!

Just clearly not going to happen as I'm about to go on maternity leave in 5 weeks! And I cant see us getting a mortgage based only on DHs salary - which is good but Im sure we'd need both of us to be working full time.

I just know when we can actually be in a position to buy a house, anything like that just wont show up! grr!
  • We took Isaac to Israel when he was 6 months old to meet OH's (massive) extended family, and it was fine - I wouldn't take a baby somewhere that didn't have reliable sewage systems and hygiene, but found managing in Israel was easy. It's a very, very family-friendly society, with far more children than in the UK, and going there was great.
