I didn't know there was a big pregnancy thread, I thought there was just one for each stage, whatndoes the big one involve? I knew someone a few years ago who was expecting a girl and they werre going to call her Erica. Little Eric must be at school by now pmsl they were shocked but very happy, that must be so strange to expect one and get another!0 -
Congratulations Mrs happy and mysecretalias!!girls are fab - I have 2!making me wonder what this bump is now....0

Yay secret, I'm so happy for us both
I would also have been ridiculously excited if it had been a boy, it makes it all seem so real
Me tooI didn't care what it was, was just so relieved that everything is ok with the baby
I started to convince myself that something would be wrong, irrationally, and now I feel so much more relaxed, and actually EXCITED for the first time in my pregnancy!!!
As for OH, we have now swapped roles and now we know it's a girl he's panicking that she's going to get pregnant at 16 already.....LOL:rotfl:Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Yeay MrsHappy and mysecretalias - fab news for you both. Glad you can relax and enjoy it more now.
On the TMI subject, I am the same and EUGH! Am going to get some liners this week I think as just fed up of being, errrr, damp!.0 -
Cllola yes I know what you mean, I keep "shifting" in my seat a lot at work due it, I think my colleagues must suspect ants in my pants haha!
I was wondering if anyone has picked/shortlisted names yet? We've picked ours and this evening I've looked at all her little clothes and toys and thought of them as hers by her name, if that make sense? I'm getting really excited for her now, our son keeps coming to hug the bump and says things to her, its so adorable
Seeing as theres so many girls on here I'm sure they'll be lots of lovely names bandied about
And yes its been a while since Chelsea has been here, hope she and her little boy are ok xxx0 -
congratulations mrshappy and mysecretalias. Pink is certainly dominating the thread at the moment!
I received a letter from the hospital today, thought it might be my combined screening results but it's another consultant appointment. I've already got my GTT on the 4th March, now on the 11th I have Preparation For Healthy Pregnancy appointment to discuss pain relief and complications in previous pregnancy etc. And I thought you were supposed to have less appointments with your 2nd! I can't complain though they are certainly being thorough. Luckily work have not expressed any irritation at all the extra appointments (not to my face anyway!).0 -
Wow so many girls around! Congratulations to all who had scans today! Secretly hoping we are pink too as we have 3 boys already! Would be happy with blue too but I keep cooing over the little pink outfits in the shops! :-)
Scan on Friday, it can't come quick enough!
Right TMI ALERT.......
has anyone else had ALOT of ahem...discharge? I've had it a little since conceiving but the last couple of days it's increased a lot! :-/
Ewww yes I've had LOADS..... I just carry around a spare pair of pants with me....can't be doing with this pantyliner lark! Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T0 -
Mary - yes I guess I do mean the 'final stage' group, but since you can post there any time (I've found that helpful for gaining advice from those who have gone before), and it was originally just that one thread (hence it being called The MSE Pregnancy Thread), I can't help thinking of it as the 'big thread' - sorry for the confusion. Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0
