Wangdoodle - if you're applying by post you'll need the tokens, if you can get a priority code from somebody who isn't going to use theirs you can book online without them.
Sophiasmum - because of my sterilising everything until 12 months obsession I'd have to say 12 months before I'd take a baby camping. But I'm sure some people are not as obsessive as me. Plus if your exclusively breast feeding that's not an issue. I'd also be concerned about it being too cold in the tent. We'll be doing another sun £9.50 holiday once baby is 3 or 4 months old though in a caravan or apartment as we did with DS. I'm lucky as we're going off peak I actually got the headline price with free service charge and entertainment passes. Taking advantage of it before DS starts school!
Mary - I'd recommend butlins or haven, never been disappointed with either. I'd avoid pontins like the plague!
Hope the scans have gone well Chelseablue, mrshappy and mysecretalias.0 -
Scan went well, everything is as it should be and we are team pink I just about weed with excitement0

Just got to go back for another scan at 32 weeks due to placenta in the middle rather than at the top but we aren't worried about thatOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T0 -
Yay secret, I'm so happy for us both
I would also have been ridiculously excited if it had been a boy, it makes it all seem so real

Woo so happy for you both! Girls are definitely dominating these pregnancy threads right now... they are the better sex lol
(Ps before anyone says anything, I'm referring to the fact that we are all girls!) 17 days til I know which team I'm on!
AFM, cried again this morning at work over a silly email... and again when I got home as I wanted to sort some clothes out for selling but couldn't find some... a warm bath has helped a little... thinking of taking a few days off work to sort myself out x0 -
Wow so many girls around! Congratulations to all who had scans today! Secretly hoping we are pink too as we have 3 boys already! Would be happy with blue too but I keep cooing over the little pink outfits in the shops! :-)
Scan on Friday, it can't come quick enough!
Right TMI ALERT.......
has anyone else had ALOT of ahem...discharge? I've had it a little since conceiving but the last couple of days it's increased a lot! :-/0 -

they don't usually bother me at all but tonight iv felt so tired and really dizzy at times too when I stand up. the extra money is good though :-/
does anybody else work shifts? x
Aw that doesnt sound good, are you able to drink water whilst youre working? That might help with the dizziness xxx
I work night shifts in a club to supplement my income but only part time so imagine it must be a lot harder to do it fulltime, is there the possibility of moving to day shifts, or are nights better paid. X
We have two more pink parcels! Congrats ladies :T
Aquamarine monkey thanks for the tip as we were considering pontins too, think I'll stick to butlins xx0 -

Me. Icky icky icky! I know it's there to make sure no bacteria or other funky things can reach the baby, but, ewwww!0 -

I'd always hoped for a boy, but when I think of names only girl names spring up! But maybe that's because cousins & friends have already 'taken' my fave boys names!
Re TMI - yes, me too. And more in the last few days too... I actually found myself googling 'how do you tell amniotic fluid from normal discharge'! ( I'm not really that paranoid, the nurses told me to be aware of amniotic fluid discharge after the Amniocentesis).
In other news, I'm so happy I've been accepted on a short upholstery course, and am getting 90% funding! Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
Ok, so I finally feel confident enough to add myself to the list
Looks like I need to find out when my next scan will be! (16 week appointment is this Wednesday but I've had to cancel due to my course starting, and haven't got a new slot yet)
We are Team Yellow, as we don't want to know, and are declaring it now since the genetic testing the sex is known for *certain by some people somewhere!
*I also lurk on the big pregnancy thread, where this week a lady got a shock as baby came out a different gender to when the scan had shown!
Please add yourself, due date and 20 week scan date:
