mSA - I'm the worst for being indecisive when he calls me from the shop asking me what food I want knowing full well how fussy food wise I've been - though not as bad as I was in the summer when I was really sick! I'll be like 'um I don't know...' So now he buys half the shop to cover all bases, costing us a fortune but I really don't know sometimes!

Con my DH isn't normally excitable at all either, but since the 20 week scan he got pretty excited, so was I.

But then since the bleeding and being in hospital I don't want to buy anything or get excited until a few more weeks have gone by and I'm in the safer zone and so it's been irritating me when DH talks about buying baby stuff etc

So maybe it's just him worrying as MSA suggested?

We had this at the start. literally from the day we found out (and I would have been about 5 1/2 weeks at that point) OH was making lists of baby names, calling me 'pregnant' all the time as my new nickname, talking about 'when the baby comes....etc etc' and I was like 'shut up!!! No baby talk until we know everything is ok!!!' What I didn't realise was I don't think I'll stop being like that to a certain degree until the baby is actually here in my arms. But I do need to get better at just relaxing and going with it. And I think your OH does too by the sounds of it, con :)

mysecretalias glad you're feeling more positive this morning - its amazing how talking through things and a good sleep help the mind process everything.

AFM got to the congested, snotty coughing phase so was awake half the night and having tripped out dreams the rest. Really paranoid about sleeping on back now and left side was harder to breathe. Was glad to give up and get up in the end.

On the subject of excitement, things have started to seem more real since the 20 week scan and feeling more movement. Prior to that we imposed a ban on discussing anything in much detail (family don't know due date) or buying anything. It turns out my mum has amassed 3 carrier bags of stuff in secret but she is pretty much an unstoppable force so now I'm attempting to point her in the right direction at least!

Hope everyone has a good Sunday :-)
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

Thats me all over :p I can never ever decide what I want for dinner and that's been the case well before I got pregnant! I am just really indecisive to the extreme. It really annoys my OH :p I really must get better at making quick decisions before the baby comes!! I don't want baby to pick up on my bad habits!!

It made me laugh as well what you said about your OH not letting you do anything. I've not so much as been allowed to lift a teaspoon since getting pregnant. I've just this minute been told I'm not allowed to go to ikea today either now because I've got a cold

Soaking in the bath. Listening to the radio.

My OH and son walk past things lined up the stairs to carry up!! Its so frustrating.

Hugs to all that need them xx

  • Samtoby sorry to hear you're feeling poo too :( Giad to hear you're taking it easy though.

Eiteews yeah I hate the congested phase i think I'm entering that today :( and blowing my nose so much it is really sore now :(

I'm throwing a slight tantrum today as I wasn't allowed to go to ikea so I am staging a protest from my bed instead. Not moving from here all day....apart from to visit the loo of course! OH is cooking a lovely roast dinner for me :)

Sorry there is so much feeling yukky around :( My OH had man flu last week, but I seem to have escaped it thankfully. I am back to feeling very nauseaus again though and was sick this morning :( I don't have time for this malarkey though, as well as working full time I also have my own business doing craft stuff and am trying to finish all my Christmas orders, busy busy.
I'm going to have to have a word with my mum tonight-something a friend of hers said yesterday has been going round my head all day and I'm just getting more and more wound up. Perhaps I'm being a bit irrational, but I don't think so-I was in the pub with my mum and dad and a few of their friends last night, for the first time since we had gone public with being pregnant, so blah blah all the congrats stuff, the OMG's from people who didn't know etc, anyway, we are sitting round the table when this friend of my mums says "I heard it was AI" to which I said pardon, and he just sat as cool as a cucumber and said again "AI, artificial insemination" I just thought that it was a totally bizarre thing to say, and clearly my mum has been blabbing. I'm not ashamed of needing help to concieve, but it's up to me who knows. I'm raging!
