Thanks, even if they can help a little to get me up and out of bed on the sicky days would be an improvement. I say this as I lie in the bath at midnight as I've been in bed all day long :(

Hope it improves soon - it's so wearing and boring!

So today's the day, slept terribly last night - partly because there was work going on outside all night but mostly because of nerves. Midday seems a long way away right now. Wish I didn't have to go back to work afterwards.

Hope those suffering are feeling better today. These anti sickness tablets sound like a lifeline. I don't know how I'd cope with what some of you are going through!
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

Can I ask what the name of the sickness tablets are?

I'm going to my docs tomorrow to ask if they can give me something, 21 weeks now and it is coming in waves.. i'm missing too much work which is causing anxiety so it's a vicious circle.

My doctor put me on cyclizine. It did work (as in, it got the sickness down to a more manageable level) but it did take 2-3 days to kick in, so if you do get put on that and after a day you think it's not working, give it some time. Hope it improves for you soon :(

  • Good luck for you scan Eiteews.

Think the nesting instinct is kicking in. Last night I made a to do list of all the little DIY jobs that we haven't done in the course of decorating the house in the past year. Getting them done will mean a much more organised and baby friendly house.

That's what I had too. I went from being sick about 8-10 times to 2-3.

The problem was it said on the box in massive capitals do not drive if these tablets make you drowsy - and they did, so they wouldn't have helped me go to work. They just helped me keep hydrated, I'd sleep for around 4 hours each afternoon, and go to bed around 8pm. I'd take one before bed to help me sleep as the evenings were a particularly bad time for me sickness wise.

Thanks guys, going to phone docs and see if they will see me tomorrow, not feeling as bad today ( it comes and goes) but think it's best to have them.

Spending the day in the house today, I went to the shop for a few things and felt awful when waiting in the queue. Preparing for the kids nativity play at the church so will get the songs etc. ready for that, feeling very Christmassy as it's frosty outside.

Glad all went well :) exciting times ahead!!

Did the hospital offer to tell you the sex or did you ask?

I went with no intentions of finding out so didn't ask but they also didn't offer.

The lady said to us 'are we finding out the gender or avoiding it?'

She told us right near the end after checking everything was ok, to be honest the gender was the last thing on mind I felt like I was holding my breath on each measurement she took before saying it looked ok. Then she just went 'it's a girl!'
