Hi,so u cannot buy more than 10,000k even with a broker?
from HL faqs:- How much can I apply for? As the final cost price of the shares is unknown, investors may only apply for cash amounts. The minimum application is £750 and there is no maximum. £750, £1,000, £1,500, £2,000, £2,500, £3,000, £4,000, £5,000, £6,000, £7,000, £8,000, £9,000, £10,000, £15,000, £20,000, £25,000, £30,000, £35,000, £40,000, £45,000, £50,000

You can only apply for max 10k in one name so you would need 10 people to apply, then sell to you afterwards.
Not according to my broker (Beaufort)The minimum investment value for this IPO is £750. There is no maximum initial investment value but Subscription requests can only be made in the following denominations:so u cannot buy more than 10,000k even with a broker?
See above, but I think you are too late, you would need to have the money in your sharetrading account (assuming you've got one ) by the cut off time (Beaufort say 3pm tomorrow).0 -
The closing date for this IPO is 7th October 2013. Should you wish to apply for Royal Mail shares through Halifax Share Dealing, you need to have elected and funded your account no later than midnight on 7th October 2013.
You can apply for as many as you like as long as the funds are in your share dealing account as above.0 -
Oh brilliant!
I have just applied in a bit of a hurry and solemnly ticked the upper box under "Where your shares will be held" (or similar) failing to take in the NEXT bit that said "tick this box if you want a share certificate."
You expect to choose a box on these things ... in this case they are BOTH alternatives to the Nominee Share Service.
I hope I am not the only person in the nation who did this!
Does anyone know if I can apply to be in the Nominee Share Service, or edit my application, or even put through a query anywhere?
Thanks for any pointers.0 -
What is the best way to buy these Royal Mail shares asap. Can anyone recommend any good broker/broker deal on these shares and how it works?
See https://royalmailshares.service.gov.uk/publichomepage/howtoapply.aspx
You can apply to buy up to £10,000 of shares via the website and pay by debit card or use on of the brokers listed there.
You also need to use a broker if you want to apply for more than £10,000 in shares.
Applications close tomorrow so if you want to apply via a broker and don't already have an account with one, you don't have much time.

You can - as others have said you need to go through a broker to do so.
You can't do more than £10,000 directly via the website unless you chose to send in a postal application and I guess its too late for that now as the deadline is tomorrow.

Replying to self ... I found a Helpline number 0330 123 0147 in the FAQ ... they were really quick, which I was not expecting. No I can't do anything about this unless I get an allocation, but if I do the email will give me a contact number for Equaniti (which is E-QUENatty, i wiasn't expecting that either :-)) and I can then ask them.
I do hate forms :-/ !!0
