If I apply for some RM shares direct is it then easy to transfer them to an X-O.co.uk account to sell them? Do I need to get the certificate to do this? Sorry for noob questions, just got back from hols and left it a bit late!0

The latest from the City suggests the issue is 10 times oversubscribed...and it could be valued up to £4.5bn from the start of trading..
I've read the general public will be offered 30% with the rest going to the big players...if the minimum price is £750 per holding then I'm guessing it will be scaled down to this amount or even less...
In many cases in the past the general public ended up with only a few hundred pounds worth of shares....so in this case I'll go for £500 at a premium of 20-30% from day one..0 -
Well thought long and hard and unlike some greedy little speculators we have decided to go for the min amount. Hopefully we can be sure of getting these.
I've applied for £3K worth. Its not a question of greed, I simply don't think its worth holding less than £2K in any stock, and my average holding is just short of £4K. If you actively trade shares, then the smaller the holding, the higher the dealing costs (percentage wise).0 -

If you get a paper certificate then you need to post this - if its held electronically then you can transfer electronically.0

If you have a certificate you can transfer it to x-o for just the cost of postage. No fee to pay to x-o until you sell.
If you choose to hold your shares in RM's corporate sponsored nominee account with Equiniti, you'll possibly have to pay a fee to Equiniti, either to rematerialise back to a certificate, or to transfer to x-o's nominee account.0 -

I always send share certificates by Special Delivery.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0
