Do you always have to second guess everything that you are told?

It just ends up taking twice as long.

    Get it sorted woman :)

I don't think that you should do a Factory Restore. I think that you should run a clean install.
Factory Restore will just restore an old version of Windows 7 and a bundle of software that you don't need.

I concur, a clean install with a Windows 7 SP1 iso is much better, and I should know I did the same with a friends PC two weeks ago (with a bit of help of course mentioning no names:cool:.)

I'd like you to check that the DVD is working before getting started.
Pop the disc in the drive and then go to My Computer and report back as to what is written on the drive letter of the optical disc.

Once we've confirmed that the disc is fine, installation instructions to follow.

Disc 2?? I only asked you to make one disc. Don't confuse the issue.

If you are following my instructions, I only need the information pertaining to what I have asked you to do.

It is not possible that you have two DVDs in one drive.
