Good morning people
I've not posted much this week, but never fear, I have been living my life according to the 'rules'!
I am up to 13/20 SFDs, and have done 13/14 lunches to work (I had to buy a sandwich on Friday as I had planned to be at the office so had a tin of beans to heat up and a slice of bread to toast, but a job over ran - there was no way I could eat that in the car!)I did buy my lunch with n3ct4r points if that still counts -so it wasn't real money from the bank! We did eat out unplanned on Tuesday night (bad!)after a public lecture at the uni finished at 8.30pm and the OH couldn't wait the 40 mins it would take to get home and eat. But, we had planned to spend £40 at our planned social event this weekend and instead had our meals paid for, so spend nadda. We tried to argue, but Pops was insistent. So, our planned entertainment budget is currently in credit. Yeay.
Anyhoo, nice free weekend for us, and gym today. Still working on making the £100 (found some nice bits to fleabay) and still working on the OH to claim back his road tax and breakdown cover, keep pointing out that it will come to an extra £200, which he agrees but he still won't make the leap to actually doing something about it.. grrrr
Speak of the devil, I can hear movement from upstairs - better get the Sunday morning pancakes on the go...LBM Aug 2013 - DEBTS AS OF THEN £25,150  now: £0 :j

Morning and what a beautiful sunny morning it is. This holiday week's been such a wash out weather & health wise but today looks good on both fronts.
Will update totals later but as suspected yesterday was spendy. Lid! had a special on mince so got 3 for the freezer, the cheap pizzas we buy & jazz up & needed some bananas, eggs & other bits & bobs. Hopefully will be able to eek out shopping day to Wed instead of Mon.
Also spent £3 on programme, £2 on face painting (I've never seen such beautiful face painting DD was a pink butterfly with jewels on her nose) at Judo comp. DS loved it i was totally awestruck waiting for Gemma Gibbons autograph & was so pleased I didn't cry (after 2012 she always makes me emotional). Never been to anything like that but got tickets for Commonwealth games too. It was really good fun, sitting next to a referee & DSs coach helped as I didn't have a clue to start with.
Fish & chips for tea but used £10 DMIL gave us for anniversary, so that wasn't too bad compared to going out in Glasgow on a Sat night! Also bought a film from telly as Sat night films were rubbish last night. We used to do this every week but haven't in so long.
Today will hopefully be SFD DS at party a wee bit away but as it's nice will be able to take DD to park near it, thought we'd be forced into soft play on a Sun afternoon during half term.
Oh I gave DM £20 for shopping when we weren't well & gave me £5.25 change which I'll add back onto the shopping budget.
Hope you all have a sunny Sunday.

So today was a SFD. Just went to the parks twice, cleaned and wtched telly. My shoes sold on ebay for 11.50. Need to wait what that is after fees and postage. Also "made" 26p cleaning OHs car with DS. I think the back tyre has a slow puncture, pumped it up yesterday and its half flat again, no ideahow to fix that or what that costs. I'm a bicycle person
Tea will be steak pie that OH bought just need to wait for him to getback from his navigation course.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Evening all
luckystarr I would suggest you really need to know where you are overspending so perhaps find your receipts from this month/look at you bank statement and figure out where all your money goes. Then you can set budgets. This board has helped me loads with support, this is my first month.
Today has been a SFDOnly left the house to walk the dogs. Also resisted eating out, even though I really wanted to go to the pub for a Sunday carvery.
Paid another £61.66 off the credit card today with my eB4y earning from last week. Still waiting for the other item to be paid for.
Hope you have all had a good dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Quick check in. SFD and AFD. Which is what I planned. Ended up going into work to try and get caught up on some stuff. I'm hoping not to spend until Thursday, and even then I'm going to try not to.Feb NST #4

Evening all... I have moved from my sofa for a moment and it;s been taken by the fluffy one. Albeit I have had a splendid day. Got up at 0800 (record on it's own) and started baking... for those not on the Facebook page I have managed to make all the treats and nibbles needed for the coming week... vegan peanutbutter cookies, apple sauce muffins, seed crackers, no-bake chocolate/banana/coconut macaroons and chilled pumpkin and coconut balls.. I am LOADED!!!
The weather has been AWFUL here. Non-stop rain and wind so me and puss haven't ventured out at all save for putting the bins out. Two more SFD's up my sleeves thank you very much and I am all ready to go for the week ahead which means another episode of Bondi Rescue and I might go to bed early tonight... I am so super cool...lol!!
Just making sure my chickadees are all okay... glad you are finding it thrilling Fmess.. I especially love it when people are eager to get to payday in order to pay off their debts instead of buy things... that's so cool..
Right.. hair soak to put in rollers... (sexy me!!).. then relaxation..
Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Evening all.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
As predicted this has been a spendy weekend. Had my eyes tested yesterday and need new glasses so that was £150 for the glasses and insurance. I didn't budget for these as I wasn't sure when my check up would be but I have the money to pay for these put aside so I paid for them on the CC and will pay it off when the bill comes in. No other spends yesterday. I did a load of washing and ironing as I have got out my winter work clothes so they all needed an iron and the summer ones needed a wash before being packed away.
Today was another spend day as due to a change of plans I went to the supermarket today - £24.46 on food and £2 worth of savings stamps that I put aside for Christmas. Food budget now completely blown , but when I go food shopping again I will go to Sainsbos as have quite a few Nectar points that I can spend.
Hoping that the next 4 days will be SFDs. I will need a few toiletries in the week but I have a B00ts voucher to use for those, and will make sure I come in under the value of the voucher so I can get some change!
I have a banana and sultana loaf in the oven. There has been a lot of chat about peanut butter cookies on here. I have had a look on the internet for recipes but does anyone have one to share?
Hope everyone has a good Monday and will check in again tomorrow.0
