Morning all,
Nearly had a SFD yesterday, stayed in my PJs all day except when OH announced he had invited a friend for breakfast today before they go out for the day. Unfortunately, we only had enough bread for bacon sandwiches for one, so I had to go to the shops  Did combine it with picking up everything else we need until the main food shop (Wed) and getting pet food, which we can't get from Ald!
Must have a SFD today! Otherwise I'm going to run out of days to meet the targetThanks for the reminder stewby

OH's in for a "slap up-side the head" across the board this morning by the looks of things! Yes I know I am sooo street....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. so yest was a good day
was sfd and i earnt £20 from two mystery shops :j
also managed to get sky to match the £2.50 broadband deal i saw talk talk are doing and paid line rental upfront for £119 which is about £5 off per monthcant believe what a rip off paying monthly is- even worse than insurance. also cancelled my tv as i do like it but dont think i watch enough sky channels to justify £21.50pm. just got to wait for them to offer me a deal now
did try and get them to match the mse offer of 50% off but they wouldnt
although if they give me an offer and i keep tv i will get free broadband (its £2.50 if i dont have tv, free if i do). so quite pleased with my money saving. will add another £10pm to the insurance/xmas pot so i have the money budgeted for next year.

Ninjasavingkat- none of those, another forum user asked if it was to do with German Shepherds, not that either. I am a massive CSI fan and it stands for gun shot residue. It makes me feel a bit rock n roll.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0

just counted up whats left in my food budget for the month (my food month is payday- 19th-18th) and there is £10.46 left of my £100 budget :T wont need to buy anymore till fri 18th (which as its payday will be from my new budget). from the money left have put aside £3 for food bank (which i will have to do on a spends day!) and put £6.50 in a money bag to keep for months when i have gone over budget. put the change in my pig which goes to debts when it is emptied.
cant remember the last month i stuck to food budgetalthough to be fair the month before i did go quite over as bought a massive pack of 24 toilet rolls and coffee (i only drink alta rica) so not had to buy them this month. next month i need washing powder and coffee but should have enough toilet rolls! hoping i can stick to my reduced budget as i am using some stuff lying around in cupboards such as having pasta for lunch at weekends as had a bag and never use it, will use black eye beans i have instead of buying baked beans to put in my sas casserole. mum has also just given me a 1.5kg tub of veg cous cous she got from AF as she bought a few and they are taking a lot longer to use than she thought! so will have that 3 days a week for lunch along with daal which i dont need to buy much for.
my food spends this month so far are only so low as i do a really big shop payday weekend and buy all meat i need for batch cooking, trip to lidl for all tins i need etc and pretty much everything that is not fresh. then each week i just buy fresh stuff. next month i am going to do it differently as i have a months worth of £6 off £30 shop at sainsburys so will not bulk buy at beginning and will instead do two medium shops to get everything using vouchers then the other two will be small fresh stuff shops:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

I was thinking that. It's like they all virtually met up on a "sabotage any money saving DFW efforts by our partners" forum as it's all been at once.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Question - I unfortunately have a lot of outgoings this week as I need to pay friends for petrol to drive home and a friend's birthday present, as well as my mother for my father's birthday present. If I withdraw it all in cash today and it's all been budgeted for from the beginning of the month, does that mean that those days can technically count as SFDs if I don't spend anything else? I'm not entirely clear on the rules for SFDs but my suspicion is probably not. Thought I'd give it a try though!
Managed to keep yesterday as a SFD after all but today is a planned spend day (food shopping). Doing pretty well on my food shopping budget this month though and hoping to keep it under budget as this month is quite tight - stupid Or@ngeNovuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Yeah thats an SFD.. it's all been budgetted for and nothing else is being spend. This is the same rule for holiday budget money, petrol money and kiddies activity money....
See I can be nice sometimes..:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
