Ninjasavingkat- none of those, another forum user asked if it was to do with German Shepherds, not that either. I am a massive CSI fan and it stands for gun shot residue. It makes me feel a bit rock n roll.

Best thing I have heard all day! You are so cool!!:cool::cool::cool:

  • Yeah thats an SFD.. it's all been budgetted for and nothing else is being spend. This is the same rule for holiday budget money, petrol money and kiddies activity money....

See I can be nice sometimes..:rotfl:

Oh yay! Thank you! :) I really didn't want to mess up my SFDs my first month on this challenge and those would have definitely scuppered my chances at reaching 20. At the moment it's still feasible if I'm really careful.

A spendy day yesterday... spent all of the budgeted £30 for my friend's visit on fish and chip meal for the three of us at the seaside and sticky toffee ice cream... nom nom it was well worth it! Another spendy day today as I have to get the photos printed out for the ruby wedding present. It may have been a more spendy day today, but its miserable outside and I have hurt my back so we are having a sofa day after sorting the photos - lurevley!

Have a great Sunday people - I am looking forward to catching up on all the posts - not had time this weekend...

  • Hello!!!!!!

Spend day for me yesterday but not today!! Spent 30 quid on carp from Sainsbobs - OH in charge!!!! Not much salad stuff in house but may aim for a frugal fast this week and stick to what we've got.

Aim to post some F&F letters recorded delivery tomorrow so that won't be a NSD - other than that just waiting for the OH's payday so we can reach our 1400 target for debt repayments this month!

We've got a goal now to pay off all our debts and save 60k by April 2017!

So I've been going through my spending spreadsheet - there's a lot of F&F letters going to be going out over the next few months!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday? I've got a kitchen to scrub but apart from that I'm just enjoying the rainy day!!!!

    xx

I was thinking that. It's like they all virtually met up on a "sabotage any money saving DFW efforts by our partners" forum as it's all been at once.

I'd like to give my OH a virtual hug for NOT being one of these DHs for once trying to sabotage the debt-free journey - usually he'd be the ringleader but I think he got distracted by GTA5!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

good luck ladies - you feel my pain!!!!

    Afternoon!

Well... spend day yesterday and today = SFD number 7.

Am having a weekend in, not doing a whole lot. I've started reading another self-help book called 'Start Late Finish Rich' so will let you know how it is... It's American - so I'm not sure how many of the schemes will be transferable as our economy, pensions, savings accounts etc are all different... Still - might get some ideas...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!!!

  • NSK - Question for you after catching up on the posts. My parking that I had to pay on Thursday, as that was budgetted in my entertainment allowance, and I didn't in the end make any purchases, was it a SFD?
