Rather quiet day today. OH went out last night, just for an hour. Well he was home at 1 am, 5 hours late. Men! plus i was well jeleaous, being preggers and stuck home with DS. Anyway, saw BIL in the afternoon and then Oh went to work for a while and i did stuff in the house. Listed 4 things on ebay for about 18 quid but opted to offer free postage. See if it makes a difference. Toad in the hole with onion gravy and various veg for tea. As soon ad DS is in bed I'll go back to my sock monkeys.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

That's great, I was getting worried for you.
I know what you mean though, out of all the extra shifts I've done in this job, this last batch has been the hardest, getting the shifts in the first place, the waiting, doing the actual work, then the worry that I'll get ill and not meet my target, but we'll do this.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -

My monthly achievements so far!
SFD: 6/20
Food: £99.68/£180
Lunch @ Work: 7/7 (I work at home 1 day a week)
Outings: £0/£30
Donation: £0/£3 (doing it last weekend of the month when they collect for the local food shelter at work)
Also quite impressed with myself; the past few days my oven's been out of action, which last month I'd have used as an excuse for takeaway. This month I have just rummaged around for stuff that I can cook in the microwave or on the hob.Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Another spend free and alcohol free day for me!
Made another batch of dough and made two calzone pizza's to take to work Monday and Tuesday. I've got to work a later shift so they will be supper.
Need to sort out my work bag tomorrow morning before I go to work. I'm kind of moving offices, well, I'm actually hiding out for a few weeks whilst I get a project done, which means I need to go and grab all my stuff from the office, and use my work bag as a filing cabinet.
I'm going to try and hold out for a spending day until Friday, when I will definitely need to hit Sainsbos. I've got milk in the freezer which should last me the week, and a block of cheese too. No fresh fruit but I have got a big jar of mandarin slices which I can make do with.
Had a migraine today which I managed to catch before I had to write the day off but normally when I have one, there are a few more to follow, which I don't really need this coming week.
Slow Cookers - I don't use mine nearly enough, but I am getting there. I'm a fussy eater so it's hard to find things that I like that I can cook in it but I'm getting a small list together.Feb NST #4

Spend day for me yesterday but not today!! Spent 30 quid on carp from Sainsbobs - OH in charge!!!! Not much salad stuff in house but may aim for a frugal fast this week and stick to what we've got.
Aim to post some F&F letters recorded delivery tomorrow so that won't be a NSD - other than that just waiting for the OH's payday so we can reach our 1400 target for debt repayments this month!
We've got a goal now to pay off all our debts and save 60k by April 2017!
So I've been going through my spending spreadsheet - there's a lot of F&F letters going to be going out over the next few months!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday? I've got a kitchen to scrub but apart from that I'm just enjoying the rainy day!!!!
xx

Evening all. I was too tired to check in last night, so here goes with details of my spendy day . . .
I went shopping in another city to buy some stuff to make advent calendars. I caught the bus to and from the train station and used my bus pass so that didn't cost me anything. I paid for my train ticket, then bought sweets and magazines (bad of me). I walked in to the town centre from the train station. I bought my fabric. I also bought lunch (Subway), then some cake from the farmer's market, then had a coffee on the way back to the station. I know I could have/should have taken a packed lunch but this was the first day out I have had in a long time so wanted to treat myself.
I also had to buy some cough sweets and tablets. When I got back to my home town, I went and had my hair cut (although this was a cheap cut done in one of the walk in salons - dry cut - no faffing around afterwards), as it was very dry and getting even more wild than it normally is. I know there has been a discussion on here about cutting your own hair, but that is the one thing I leave to the professionals!
I did my supermarket shop last night, then put some petrol in the car as it would have started to run on fumes.
So today meant another SFD for me - number 7. I have coloured my hair (using hair dye that I bought in August before I started September's challenge). Been catching up on housework and laundry, and will soon do some knitting.
I am hoping to get another SFD tomorrow. I am several weeks behind with my teaboat payments, so will keep quiet about that and see if I can pay later in the week.
I forgot to say earlier in the week that I have just got my s-bucks vouchers for £25 (for M&S), so that brings my total up to £28 made.
NSK - I got paid some money at the beginning of the month for a part-time job that I did last month. Does that money count towards the £100 to make this month?
Well I think that is it for now. Hoping to get a few more SFDs in this week. I know my Misc budget is blown now (and is going to get higher), but that is something to work on next month. Fingers crossed I will come under on my other budgets.
Have a nice evening everyone and a good start to the new week!0 -
Oh and here are my updated totals:
Food - £70.31/£80
Misc - £181.52/£150
Petrol - £15.08/£50
Food Bank - £2.56/£3.00
Car tax - £175/£175
Money made - £28.00/£1000 -
SFDs: 6/20
Food budget: £45.48/£280
Donation: £0/£3
Planned outings: 0/1 Meal out for birthday with OH (paid on voucher already)
Takeaway £19.40/£20 - Chinese to celebrate birthday with children,
Take lunch to work: 9/20
Beauty spends £2.67/£10
well no SFD's for me yesterday or today. Bought some Xmas presents yesterday and although they are things we would have bought anyway in November or December they were on special offer (wine, chocs for brothers and sisters and Thomas stuff for DS2) yesterday and were too good to miss. We also had our planned take away for my birthday yesterday but we managed to come in under our budget for that by 60p - and it was totally scrummy.
Today was a non planned spend day as we ran out of bread for sandwiches to take with us tomorrow as we are taking DS1 to the Lakes to see his dad. We are on half term next week so decided it was better and cheaper to buy bread and make sarnies for the journey than to buy something en route.0
