andrar I wouldn't worry. Especially, when I'm with other people that order stuff I don't mind just getting a water. Just smile and say thank you :)

kitty boo I hope you feel better soon.

Felt quite hormonal and left out today. DS is upstairs in bed with a fever and OH is out in the pub. Just hope DS is better tomorrow and we can go to the birthday/ Halloween party. Just altered his costume, they only had the fireman suit in age 7-9 and he's 2.5 :)

Looking fwd to not spending till Friday and start a new month. Glad I have you guys here now. You are my new virtual friends as I'm a bit of a grumpy recluse in real life atm ;).

  • well done everyone you are all doing amazing and have inspired me to do the November challenge :j
Will there be a post soon to put my name down for the challenge don't want to miss out
  • Hello chicks... another SFD on the rack. Andrar I feel the same as Thrifty... you have to do what you want to do not get pushed into something to make some grubby over-priced cafe feel "better"..

Kittyboo - Kitty-Kat cuddles for you.. hope a lazy evening makes you feel a little bit better. Don't stay up to late though to compensate for sleeping in, the hours before midnight are better for you apparently.. .and you can rest your eyes if you can't fall asleep... Ohhh look! I've turned into my mother!..:)

I am watching "Jodie Marsh on Steroids" - a look into steroid abuse in the world of body-building! Yikes!

Hope everyone is inside, warm and snuggled down. The storms acom'in...

    Onwards!!!

thrifty I am a grumpy recluse too! I much prefer staying in to going out and keep turning down offers to go out, just so I can stay in! Very antisocial! Think the grumpy bit has something to do with the dark days, glumier weather and grumpiness with myself for getting into so much debt.

Anyways, spend day today but it's part of my Nov monies so will save updating my signature until the November Challenge. Ate out but OHs parents paid :)

Tomorrow I'm going to focus on planning money making schemes as I'm not sure I can cut my budgets much tighter but want this debt gone ASAP! Any ideas welcome?

    Good morning

Unfortunately DS wasnt listening when i told him about the extra hour so he was up before 6. Just before OH staggered upstairs after sleeping on the couch after a very late night looking like death warmed up, wonder when he'll reapear.

Anyway, today should be an SFD.

    Have a nice day

    Morning,

The dogs were up as soon as it got light so no lie in for me. However I'm planning a productive SFD today so I guess the longer I'm awake, the more productive I can be!

    Debt-free and Proud!
I was quite lucky that mine woke at 6:12 as they normally wake at 6:30 this is quite good.

Taking DD to an event today, allowing £20 spends but taking some food and a flask of coffee. Maybe I should start getting ready!

    Morning all,

ANDRAR-Don't worry about the Cafe carry on :) I probably buy lunch at work about 3 times in a year! I always take mine from home. The comments that are made by the Pr3t brigade, would rival that woman's attitude :D But, if I don't wish to spend 30 quid a week on lunch, just as you didn't wish to buy over priced rubbish, that's our concern-especially on this challenge ;)

I too am another unsociable grump-but this seems to attract nosy people to you I find

I will have a spend day today. I need door handles for some internal doors. Hom3 base have 15% off this weekend, so I'll get them today and save some pennies. I did buy a pizza yesterday :o but I'm really proud that I opted to pay cash rather than put it on my card! I had a balance of just over 3k on one and I paid it off by balance transfer. After this was paid off, thay added 35 pounds in interest  I'm going to query it, but havea feeling it's to do with when the interest was calculated. But, it's really put me off using them now as well as this challenge and reading the debt free roll of honour.

Does anyone remember there life pre-credit cards, loans, ect. I remember, I use to go on holidays with barely any spends, but we had a great time. We would go on day trips ect and had a great time you could also plan. However, I was always thinking how great things would be if I had more! Now I feel, in the same way that ghost visited scrooge, lol, I've been shown that no, things aren't always as good as you think and I cannot wait to get debt free and back to the old days, lol. Sorry for the rambling:o

Keep up the good work everyone-we've nearly finished this month :T :D

  • For the first time in a while my fur-baby slept in! Then got under the covers with me! Ha! Baking day today and hopefully publishing The November Challenge! Watch this space... and if it's any consolation I prefer to stay in as well!

  • Hi everyone,

I've also been contemplating this challenge as it nears the end, as it's been my first challenge. I don't think I entirely embraced the challenge, but my gut feeling is that that's a good thing! I'm very rule bound, and tend to crash and burn, so easing myself in gently and establishing good habits is a much better way of going about it for me. I seem to have undertaken a whistle stop tour of Britain visiting uni open days with DD in October - and still 3 to come next week - I'm exhausted, and it's been difficult to plan and budget for it, but the damage has definitely been minimised due to this challenge.

    Here's where I'm at now:

    SFD 14/20
Payment towards debt in Oct will be 1074.24, minimum payments throughout month
    Food 224.35/250
    Lunches 22/31
    Food bank 3/3
    Eating out 74.68
DFD May 2018 (at the moment )
Toiletries £2 - we've all had colds, so bought boxes of tissues
Extra earned £72.43 - doing an extra babysitting job later today, so this will go up

    Happy Sunday

    rumbly x
