Going to try and use the YS cream up today, plums that don't seem to want to ripen, and Green and Blacks chocolate that was far too bitter into some sort of pudding. Not sure what to actually make for tea, especially for DD2 who is such a fussy eater, as there isn't much in that she likes. Tried to buy Quorn meatballs from the C*-*p; but they are making room in the freezer section for other Quorn products so they have got rid :(, and it's the only shop that sells them locally!

Underspent by £5.62 on the first week so quite pleased.

Have just put this weeks money in my purse - all coins, no notes. The purse is bulging. I'm trying.... trying..... trying.... to stay away from the shops but I do need sugar for the chutney and jam I'm making so I will need a major 'injection of willpower' before venturing out. :) I may go this evening around YS time

Spent £40 over the weekend and will still need a few bits this week.

Today is chicken noodles and salad
Tues - left over spag Bol from freezer
Weds - pork rice and salad
    Thurs - egg on toast
Fri - dd2 is having an op so we can have a takeaway pizza when we get discharged from hospital
    Sat - lasagne
Fri - sausage egg and chips.

From this list all I should need is bread, white sauce and chips!
  • Spent £51.15 in Mr S and £19.85 in Mr T. Managed to stick to my list (mostly - bought a magazine as a treat). Fingers crossed I stick to the meal plan. Will need to top up fruit, bread & milk but not too much else for rest of week.
  • :hello: Another newbie here - although I have been watching the thread for several months now. I plan to monitor spending very carefully this month - just myself and dh at home. Next month we'll be focussed!! Both also trying to shift excess weight so a double challenge!!
    July 16 £95/£200
    Nov 16 £0/£200

    Hi everyone,

Budgets (finally) updated to here :)

    Welcome/welcome back to:
candygirl, Cwtchie, physicsgirl, B-J-D, dannie, Verityemilia, winniepooh, Pesto and trulymadlyhannah :D

I had my first Ocadoh delivery on Saturday. Really impressed with the quality of the food - even the essentials range. Only ordered it Friday night and the delivery slot was only £3 - fab! £103 plus change.

Went to Morribobs today as I read on the grabbit board that they are doing 2 tins/tubs of sweets for £7(celebrations/heroes/quality street/roses) for this week only. If you need (okay WANT) any for Christmas then I don't think you will find it cheaper. HTH someone.

Also got some packed lunch bits. Chocs will come from Christmas budget so only £3.85 from GC.

Also paid 2nd purse back for items used last week.

    Total now for October: £170.35/£450

Anyone had the new Cadbury pretzel, honeycomb, cola bar - oh my days.......
