Had to go shopping yesterday and spent £ 17.72 in Al*i on veg, fruit, milk, packed lunch meat and chicken (will do 2x2 meals).

Then went to Mr T and spent £ 18.37 - but £ 7.35 was for fresh fish  that DH 'fancied' for tea. NOT taking him again !!

Am going to start to run down freezers now so can defrost and get ready for 'that' time of the year and then our hols - YIPPEE ! Must not get excited yet.

Have warned DH that there may be some weird meals in the next few weeks HAHA:rotfl:and he said 'What's new?'

Oh well at least another NSD today so not doing too bad. Have updated my totals

See you all doing well - so far so good eh

    Hi,

My first 7 days has resulted in £7.44 spent. I've tried to use up last months stores or beyond as much as possible. Still working upon improving time-saving regarding food related tasks in order to catch up on other jobs. However, being creative with existing food ingredients makes things more interesting. Also, working towards a "better" diet for myself as I go along.

Needed to pop out to get some eggs yesterday so should have been a spend of about £2, however DH came with me and picked up a basket and said he "needed" some bits as well! The only thing he really needed was some cold meat for sandwiches this week, but things like pitta breads (in freezer), fruits buns (he's eaten a couple and got another couple for today) and a couple of other "wants" crept in. Ended up spending £8.14. Didn't got out on Saturday so got another NSD so 4 so far out of my target of 10 for this month.

I've updated my signature to show these.

    Morning all

Very spendy weekend here and I have spent almost all my budget:(:o

I have split the GF flour order across the rest of the year as well as an order for GF worcester sauce. This is very difficult to get and I had to order it from amaz0n. It comes in a pack of 3 and will probably last me the next 2 years but have split it across the next 3 months or I won't know where I am.

My total spends are £372.83 out of a budget of £375 leaving me with £2.17 to last the next 15 days. I would normally do another 2 weekly shops in this time. I want to come in as close to £375 as I can and definately under £400.

I am going to attempt a fiscal fast this week and not spend any money on anything at all. DH has offered to go to the Mr S near his work with a list so I am going to do this next Monday for fruit and bread only. If I give him the cash he will be less tempted to overspend and use his debit card. :)

We went to this Mr S on the way back from a walk on Saturday and they had a much bigger GF range than my local Mr S which I thought was quite a big one. They had bread flour in which I could have sent DH for and saved a big order:mad:. At least I know where to get it now. I did pick up some GF BBQ sauce and ketchup on offer.

It will be getting through the next 2 weekends withough treats that will be tough. I have plenty in to bake with but will probably want a bag of crisps or two:)

DH has said he might like to try going completely GF for a week or two which would reduce my spends as I could use my bread flour to make bread for us all and it would save my buying normal bread for the rest of the month. All our main meals are GF anyway.
