We may however just go for a parental responsibility order as adoption is so expensive. What we need is assurance that if anything happened to my husband the children would still get to reside with me and not get lost I'm the system.

If you and your husband have a residence order as stated in your first post, you already have parental responsibility. Mum also retains her parental responsibility. f you are planning any changes to the legal status of the children I'd suggest getting legal advice.

Only the husband has the residence order/parental responsibility as the op was not allowed in court for the hearing as she was not part of the order. They have only recently married.

This is why the op should not be dealing with the mum at all about the children, dad should be the one speaking to mum and arranging visitation.

Sorry OP refers to 'we' throughout the thread. I assumed the order had been made to her and her husband (then partner) and not just him.
  • Gotta laugh when someone deletes all their comments, because they don't like the answers they got... when they have all been quoted :rotfl:

I noticed the deletions started not long after someone questioned how they could have a 2 year old when the OP had been the stepmother for 3 years. oooops: :D
  • The OP has revisited all her old threads and deleted the posts... Shame that some of us have long memories when it comes to this sort of thread.

Can't rewrite history... I expect she'll be back using another name.

That's thorough! [Misses the rolling-eyes smiley]

I think that posters often forget that - although they can erase their posts - they can't erase the memories of those who have read them.

Of course the OP will be back with another name. And quite possibly another story.

Sometimes, I wish I had the time to do some kind of degree, which included a thesis on 'Internet message boards and the Munchausen phenomenon'.

This board in particular would be a research treasure trove.

(If anyone else has the time - go for it! I'd love to read the thesis).

  • I am really annoyed that this woman can slander another person then just delete her posts and get away with it. Can mse ban her isp address so she can't just start again with a new username and attack this poor mother again? Just a thought mse
