So much cake....
Have had to go into kitchen and now sponge baking away. Showed SB how to do this as it's his favourite. Buttercream and jam to fill once it's cooled.

Ive made them with honey instead, I used that as its all I had. Can't comment if they taste better with golden syrup as not made any using that yet, but they were still very nice using honey0 -

There are so many fab recipes over on OS.
Twinks recipe is
8oz sr flour
8oz sugar
8oz porridge oats
8oz margarine
1tbsp golden syrup
1tbsp hot water
1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

thanks kissjen!!! I'm going to spend the rest of the evening checking out the recipes on the OS board for my next batch cooking/monthly meal plan!!! Unfortunately no golden syrup or even honey round here
but do take a pic if you get a chance!!! If only to lift our spirits! :jDebts @ LBM (May 2013): £25,250.27 | Debt Free: May 2015 :j:j0
