I've found you! I was worried when you hadn't popped up on my list. I'm so sorry you are having such a horrible time. Lots of love xxMortgage Jan 13 99260.00 87253 April 2017

I'm really pleased for all of you that Mum's appointments are made and it isn't long to wait for them:j. It always seems a bit easier somehow when you know exactly what medical condition it is that you're battling. It is so easy to fear the worst pre-diagnosis when anything and everything is possible then. Everything crossed for you all.
Can't your sister make alternative child-care arrangements for the forseeable future? What with your Mum feeling unwell and you still recovering from your hospital ordeal you both need to conserve as much energy as you can at the moment. Exhaustion isn't a help in recovery from illness.
The Brazilian meal sounds fun. Can't say I've ever heard of any Brazillian foods so please let us know what it was and if you enjoyed it.
Try to relax a bit this weekend. You are such a caring person where others are concerned so please try to take care of YOU for a change. That's an order!0 -
Hi Muser and CBC
The Brazilian restaurant was not good. It cost a fortune and was basically blokes walking around with skewers of meat and cutting bits off for people and then there was a crowded buffet table with chips, salad and other stuff. I like meat, but that was just too much. It absolutely reeked of the stuff!! Never again.
I forgot that OH's parents are descending on us tomorrow. They're only staying until Tuesday morning, but still

Afternoon
Well, I've finally got properly started on working this month. I'm nearly up to £40 (it's really quiet) which gives you some idea of how bad I have been on the work front this month.
It's not good enough really. It's not fair on my OH to be paying for everything whilst I'm hardly bringing anything in. I know I've had my IVs and stuff, but even if I was just trying to get £10 a day, it would have been much better than where I am now!!
Seriously need to get earning again. No excuses!! (but don't worry, I won't let my health suffer!).
I'll see if I can get some more money earned tonight (I think I have to go out for a meal with OH's parents), even just a few more quid will do.
Tomorrow will be difficult as I'm at the hospital in the afternoon with my mum and OH has the day off, so he will be hanging around in the morning. Thursday will be tricky too. I'll just see how I get on. I would like to aim for £250 before the end of the month, but think I'll be happy with £200.
December HAS to be different. I can't carry on with so little money.

Not a good evening, and not just because OH's parents are here.
Firstly, we went for a meal. It cost £50 and that was with 20% off the food. I bet you can't guess who paid for it?? (said in a sarcastic tone).
Anyway, we took my car as we can't possibly take their car and use their petrol. Got home and realised that my car has been keyed along the passenger side - the whole of the passenger side from back to front. The lovely vandal even doubled up on some places so there were parallel lines, just to add to the pattern.
Most expensive night ever

Morning
I've been up since 6.30am trying to get some work in. I didn't get any extra done last night as we got back quite late, so I still haven't quite reached £40 yet (2 questions to go), let alone started on today's earning.
OH's parents snore like tractors, so I didn't get a great night's sleep (the beds are on the same wall, so the sound comes through). They're also not going until lunchtime. At least we don't have to have lunch with them (which would be another meal we would pay for).
I've got someone coming over today to hopefully buy a chair for £20. The problem is, it's a chair that OH's parents gave us. They gave us two, but we only have room in the flat for one, so we have to sell the other. They only gave them to us to free up space for themselves, but I bet they ask for the £20.

Jeez they just get worse & worse.
Eeek to the car.

Your OH's parents are unbelievable. Let's hope the person buying the chair arrives after they've gone so avoiding them seeing the transaction and demanding the money.
One positive thing though, they raised a son completely unlike them as regards meanness and selfishness. He sounds like a nice chap and someone as kindhearted as you wouldn't be with him if he was anything like them.
Bad news about your car. How people get off on damaging other people's property never fails to amaze me.
Will be thinking of you and Mum in the next few days. Take care of yourselves.0 -
Thanks Lou and CBC
His parents have now gone back :j. Luckily, OH took them out to the local shops before the bloke came for the chair. So we have got the £20 and they are none the wiser.
My mum's first appointment is at 1.40pm today. This is with the respiratory clinic, so hopefully we might start getting some answers today.
I'll keep you all posted.

Well, looks like my mum basically had pneumonia. It wasn't diagnosed by the doctor, therefore she wasn't getting treated for it and that's why it dragged on so long. The consultant said because she is starting to feel better again, she thinks it is clearing up on its own and antibiotics won't be worth it now. She has to go back at the beginning of January for another x-ray to see if it has improved.
I saw my old nurses and doctor whilst I was there. Had a good chat with them - really wish I could go back there again.
Work has been a non-started today. I've managed to get up to £44. I'll try and see what I can do tonight, but don't think £80 will be possible. It's just so quiet.
