    Thanks Lou and CBC :A

I am pleased to be home and sleeping in my own bed. I'm still really tired, but then that's to be expected as I'm on super strong antibiotics. At least I'm able to sleep soundly all through the night now.

I've managed to drive to my mum's so I won't be stuck indoors all next week. The nurses that come over are lovely and we have a good old chat whilst they're getting my drugs ready.

OH made me a lovely roast chicken dinner yesterday and he has been looking after me, so I've just been sat around watching TV.

We're supposed to be going to see Thor 2 tonight, but it depends on when my nurse comes and if I feel up to it.

    Emz xx

My dietician has asked me to make more of an effort with breakfast, but he also said that it's okay to have a couple of my Fortisip drinks in the morning if I can't face breakfast, and then have an extra meal in the evening to make up for it.

He is also going to arrange for me to get some shot type drinks which help with the calories (if I like them that is).

  • Glad you are sounding so upbeat, Emz and enjoying being away from the grindstone for a bit and managing to relax. Sounds like OH is doing his best (roast chicken sounds yummy:)) and also nice that you can spend some time with your Mum.

Having a bit more time away from computer work (if indeed you are working less than normal) will give you more chance to enjoy the Barclay's year-end tennis this week. I know your favourite, Andy, isn't playing but there's lots of great matches in prospect. My favourite, David Ferrer, is playing Nadal at 2 this afternoon:j. He beat Nadal in Paris last week but looked as if he was running on empty towards the end of the final against a superbly in-form Djokovic on Sunday. Still, it wasn't too shabby to lose 7-5 7-5. I hope he's managed to get in some recovery time before today's match. I don't know about anyone else but I find the setting for the Barclay's tournament so un viewer-friendly. I find it dark and difficult to see. The background is all blue as is the court and yesterday afternoon Wawrinka and Berdych were both wearing blue:eek:
Although he'd be more visible I hope Ferrer isn't wearing that ghastly lime-green shirt today:(

    Hi CBC :)

I haven't started work for November yet, but will do soon. I just need some recovery time I think. I might try to do some tomorrow. OH has said he will pick up the slack whilst I'm like this as my health is more important.

Worst thing at the moment is that everything I eat tastes spicy!! I just had a cottage pie for lunch and it was like eating a really strong curry. I told the nurse yesterday and she said it was likely to be one of the antibiotics affecting my tastebuds. Not likely to help me put on weight, but at least I've got less than a week to go.

I watched some of the tennis yesterday afternoon. I wanted Berdych to win as I'm not too keen on Wawrinka. Never mind. It's a shame Andy isn't there - I miss watching him play. Good luck to Ferrer this afternoon, I'll try and watch some of it (at my mum's though and it depends if there's anything on she wants to watch). I'd like someone other than Federer, Nadal or Djokovic to win for a change.

It's a good tournament to go and watch live, but I see what you mean about watching it on TV. I shall think of you if Ferrer wears a lime green shirt!!

    Emz xx
