Thanks Mara. I know I've got a private room with ensuite already. Us CF patients aren't allowed to mix, so we never get put on wards. Fingers crossed with the WiFi. I know they have it there, but don't think it reaches all the rooms. At least I will have my iPhone and 3G so I can check my emails etc.

Another £10 earned today, it is really slow on there at the moment though.
Just waiting for the call now. I'll post again when I'm in.

Well, I'm in hospital but feel worse now than when I came in!!
I've hardly had any sleep thanks to people coming in at all hours to do all sorts of observations etc (the doctor came round at 1.10am!!!). I've just been told to 'doze', but I'm not the type of person who can grab 30 minutes sleep here and there - it takes me ages to get to sleep.
They have fitted a temporary line which lasts for 3 days, at which point I guess I'll have to have a more permanent one fitted (well, for 2 weeks) before I can go home. Not that my veins aren't bad enough already that I can afford to have that many needles shoved in them .
I have WiFi, which is a plus. I'm going to aim to earn another £10 during the day. I'm not going to push myself, but another £10 everyday won't hurt and will be helpful next month.
Is it Friday yet?

Aww Emz....It's horrible being in Hospital....But I hope they are able to help you feel better....
And I hope you can earn a little bit of money while you're in Hospital....
I remember being in Hospital and they kept on coming in at all hours of the morning to do observations.....it's really annoying!! I kept on thinking....how would THEY like it if I woke them up at 4am to stick a cuff on their arm which inflates and hurts....!!
Anyway....try and take it as easy as you can hun....And let us know how you are doing xXx0 -

Thanks Helen and Lou :A
I'm pleased to say my more permanent line is now in. That's the worst bit over with - didn't half hurt though.
I've had a run of people coming and going all day long, so I've only just finished earning my £10 today. I think that is going to be a realistic amount whilst I'm stuck in here. They are looking at releasing me on Friday morning, so fingers crossed I only have a couple more days in here.
I think I will sleep well tonight, as long as I don't get any interruptions

Come on Friday - hurry up!!
Had a bad night last night as my line became infected. It was really painful when they put the drugs in, but the nurse didn't take it out, so by the morning my arm was red and very angry!! So it got whipped out and I now have one in my other arm. I'm feeling very sorry for myself right now. I've said that if the same happens with this one, that's it - I'm not having another one fitted.
I've had loads of tests and stuff today, so I've been busy waiting around and going to different places. Doesn't help when I have hardly slept and they starved me for 6 hours this morning so I could have an ultrasound. I thought hospitals were supposed to make people feel better?
Anyway, no earning today - I'm too tired and generally p****d off!!

Oh God I bet you are! That does sound grim!
Hope they leave you be and you get some sleep tonight XXXXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
