Just received my order of a 50% gylcolic acid peel, with deep cleansing peel prep and neutralising post peel treatment from ebay.

Was thinking I would dilute it down to 25% for my first couple of goes and then increase the strength.

Am I right thinking I should do it once a week for 6 weeks. Any advice at all anyone could give me would be great. I am going to do the first peel on Saturday night. How long would you recommend I leave it on for?

I have uneven skin tone, some acne scarring, lumps and bumps and large pores. After reading this thread it seems I should use a salicylic peel. What strength should I buy and should I rotate the gycolic with the salicylic?

    TIA

Do a test on your neck/hand before the peel to see if any irritant occurs first :)

Secondly, the first peel you should leave on for 3 minuets, adding one more minuet on per peel for a maximum on 7 mins. Do the peel 6 times then leave 2 weeks then start again :)

I can't help with the Sal acid as i only use Glycolic sorry

Resurrected this as I am about to start my regime again. Chin is bad due to hormones still acid will sort it out.
  • Funnily enough my mum bought me an alpha h kit from QVC. I had actually just bought myself a collagen kit from sr skincare aswell lol.

Gonna have to try the alpha h kit first incase my mum needs to return it.

Did mandelic salicylic tonight stung lots lol I do look lovely and glowy which will help when I go to the interview tomorrow. Vc with hse director, presentation and site tour!
  • That's the same peel I use mellymoo. Although I do buy it as part of a kit from sr-skincare. I find I get on quite well with and can tell the difference if I stop using it.

I'm still giving this Alpha h kit a try, although I'm so far not convinced. At least it can be returned back to QVC.

Has anyone else tried the Alpha h products? The kit I got has the liquid gold, the micro cleanse and their SPf 50+ moisturiser.

I bought this kit too. I already use the LG, Balancing Cleanser and the Microcleanse. I have a very sensitive skin, started by putting LG onto damp cotton pad for a few applications and everything has been fine. Also use an acid toner each morning, not sure how brave I will be in going stronger, though intend to try something on my hands once the winter arrives and I spend less time outdoors.

When I get a bad reaction to a product my face goes bright red and wrinkly then dry and flakes badly and it can take weeks to clear so am so softly softly when trying anything new:( Cheering the rest of you along though:D

  • Well I have decided to give the Alpha h products the heave ho. It's doing nothing for my skin apart from making it more oily. I think the regime is just to harsh for my already combination/oily skin.

Going to go back to mt trusty sr-skincare kit :)

I have the exact same kit as you from qvc. I find the Alpha-H works brilliantly on me, but then again I have dry/normal skin so perhaps it works better on this skin type.
