  • I bought another collagen boosting kit pam. The strength is 15%. I'm hoping it doesn't burn my face off like the lactic one has.
  • Hi, Hope its ok to join in with this thread. I've had 3 years of pants and yuk and its finally come to an end. Have neglected myself terribly, including skin, and now going to start trying to reverse things ( fingers crossed) .. ive read through nearly all of this thread but am totally over whelmed with all the information.. is there anyone who could point me towards a good starter one? My skin isnt particulalry sensitive as a general rule, but realise it still would be better to start with something gentle whilst I see how it responds. Have combination skin. Oh and something that hopefully wont require me to ebay one of the kids in order to be able to afford it. :-) thank you :-)

Avoid the lactic/salicylic acid peel, it's very strong even at 15%.
    ?

I must have a hide like a rhino! I use a 40% lactic/salicylic peel and don't have any problems. I tend to use for 4-6 weeks a couple of times a year and don't have any problems. I have also used a 40% lactic and felt my skin tingle quite a bit but nothing the next day. I love skins peels :D :T

I applied it with a brush, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best idea.

I guess with peels you have to hope that the seller doesn't send you the wrong strength peel with a lower strength label on the bottle.

Definitely. I buy from an ebay seller braddock27 and thankfully they have been very consistent.

The more the merrier on ebay there is a seller called vanity belle she is very helpful. I dont find glycolic does a fat lot for my skin so I use mandelic based ones.
What you looking to do? Maybe we can help you find the best one for you then.

I have tough skin lol so can layer away the glycolic does nothing for me I like mandelic salicylic at the min up to 4 layers using 40 carrots and high c serums this coupled with the tooth polisher and having my eyebrows done mean I am starting to feel a lot better.

It does get quite addictive peeling away the layers. I am going to do a top up course of tooth bleaching starting tomorrow night so will be off th diet coke and other heavily coloured foods. Its a great feeling having good skin and bright teeth. I am off the peels for the summer now unless it stays quite rainy but will pick them up agin early autumn. I just need to drop a few stone and life will be sweet :D

  • Does anyone know what the shelf life is of peels and neutraliser gel is once opened?
