I use them regularly and having experimented with different types my favourite is a 40% salycilic lactic acid peel. I am mid 30s with fair colouring and they make a huge difference to my skin.

  • I've used glycolic, lactic, salicylic/mandelic.

I like the glycolic 30 per cent best.

The salicylic peel even at 10per cent STUNG.

I actually peeled a bit with the salicylic/mandelic and couldn't wear makeup for a few days

Peels are part of my routine. Follow instructions exactly and you'll be fine. Test on back of your hand first if nervous :D

Watch if you are using microdermabrasion with any peels, they should be done quite a while apart as the peel can go too deep if you have exfoliated beforehand.

I haven't ever had peeling or redness from using peels and the only reaction I ever had was when I did a peel in the morning and then went for an HD brows in the afternoon. I had a bit of a reaction round my eyes which I assumed was the peel and the brow tint but apart from that I have had no problems.

Boots No7 used to do a Glycolic peel. Anyone know if they still do it? I cant find it on the website.

I much prefer a glycolic peel.
