wannabeslim wrote: »Yes I do a TCA once or twice a year, depending on my skin, during the winter months. I use a 25% or maybe a 30% and it is harsh but my skin can take it and the difference is outstanding, other types of peels do nothing at all for me, might be just me but I actually get pleasure from watching age spots/sun damage lift away from my face:eek:, a tca this strong also dramatically improves my pores and wrinkles. I do have to stay at home for a week though which isnt a problem for me and dd cant even look at me when my face starts shedding :rotfl:Thanks for the seller info:)
No make up for a week!!!!!

I dont know, I used up one I got from Amazon and now make my own its
1 tsp L-Ascorbic Acid (got from Holland & Barret for breadmaking)
3tsp Aloe Vera gel
3 tsp Chomomile water

Did two layers of salicylic/ mandelic. Didn't sting :j will do one more then rest for a couple of months..
Very light peeling round my jawline and mouth which I'm pleased about. It's weird how some areas flake and others don't.0 -

im getting this one, it gets really good reviews (googled it) price is good.
I was wondering if you bought these and how you are getting on with them?0 -
Well I have just done the no 7 gylcolic (sp) peel and I only used half one of the little vials as I wanted to see how my skin reacted. No stinging and I took it off just before the 10 minutes was up to be safe the first time. Have to say few under skin spots were removed afterwards which was good ( gross I know sorry) and skin is wonderfully soft.
Let's see how face is tomorrow... So far so good..0 -
That's the first one I ever used sweet cheeks. Yes it's lovely but pretty weak
I had nice results from it which encouraged me to look for something stronger0 -
I bypassed that and went straight to the hard stuff lol.
Layered a mandelic peel this evening the two nasty hormonal icks on my chin are now dried up so have nappy cream on em and anticipate them being gone completely in a couple of days.
In my ever changing way im veering towards salicylic again at the min for my alternate weeks lol.
Dont know if you know but forever young has disappeared off eBay!0 -

However I also have removed all age/sun spots, any sign of seb derm on my face has totally gone and my pores are refined and I really glow, thanks goodness for MAC full coverage :rotfl:as excellent as this peel is its hard going and really its 3 weeks before I can feel confident again, note to self - no slacking on sun screen, ever:)
How is your skin wannabe?0 -
I am also tempted by the tca.......
Wonder whether 2 weeks would be enough recovery time0
