All the press is stating that the 5c is 'for the customer on a budget', is 'entry level' and is 'The Cheaper 5c',
The cheap 5c is £469 !!!!:shocked::shocked::shocked:

Now, I might be missing something or it might be my age but that seems like very clever or naiive marketing to try and convince consumers that £469 is a budget phone.0 -

I think the idea is to get the on contract price to a more reasonable amount.
Not so sure about entry level tho, its pretty much an iphone5 in a cheaper case0 -
64GB iPhone 5s for £709!!!:eek::eek::eek:
It's only a fracking phone !!!!!!!0 -
So I could keep my iphone 5, or I could spend loads of money just to have the ability to use my finger print as a password, er, no thanks! I wonder how much cheaper the plastic version will actually be on contracts.0

If you want iPerbole then most of the major press will swoon about it in the morning. If you want a dose of analytical cynicism, try theregister which has a generally less swoony nature thanks to a largely technical readership. Good balance :-)
Spot on. Rory Cellan-Jones is currently shooting his load all over Apple on the BBC website.0 -
5S-
-minor upgrade
-quicker processor
-64 bit
-a few more toys
-bit better camera.
Not enough to upgrade from a 5 in my opinion, but could be the one for those with older handsets if they want the premium feel that the 5C lacks.
5C-
The 5 in a plastic case. Looks good quality and plastic hasn't hurt Samsung (which often feel far too cheap for their price tag).
So nothing revolutionary but then the S4 is hardly a massive leap over the S3.0 -
Damn it I wanted the 5 to stay and get better contract deals. Not sure what ill do about my upgrade nowHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

So finally apple have worked out that the current 4 number pin system used is rubbish and have installed a finger-print reader...
...something similar to the face unlock on some Androids, probably will be used by a few for a short period before they get fed up with it and turn it off.0 -

When is your upgrade due? the iphone 5 will still be in stock for a long time, so unless your upgrade is a long time away you'll be fine, or you could buy second hand and go sim only.0 -
