Well I run out last night so have decided to start this morning. Trying to keep busy at work, to keep my mind off it. But it is trying lol
Keep a pen in your hand, and if you can, keep something in your mouth.
It looks reasonably professional, and it gives you something to do with your hands/mouth.

I saw you mentioned e cigs, so does that mean I can join?0

I had breakfast with a coffee this morning (I never eat before work or drink coffee - yuk) - which has completely confused my body and seems to be distracting it for the time being.
I am also going to pick up some fruit to take to work to pick at as unfortunately I am able to have fag breaks if I want them. I will have to get them renamed as fruit breaks
It was strange not having a last one before I went to bed last night, but I also didn't wake up craving one either - which was a relief. Woke up and decided I am not going to smoke today.
Good luck to everyone winding down tonight ready to start tomorrow xxxxThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Well done, Penelope!💙💛 💔0

Well my Stoptober pack hasn't arrived, but as I didn't know what was supposed to be in it anyway it's no great loss. I'm sure I have the odd patch in the bathroom cabinet for the first day or so. So just before bedtime tonight I'll have my last one and ditch the ashtrays, lighters etc. DH and stepdaughter are joining in as well. DH has a couple of e-cigarettes, not sure on stepdaughter's strategy. If anyone cracks, they can just go outside. If anyone wants to track how much money and life they're saving, try this:

Evening everyone, well I have to admit I had a couple yesterday, but I went all day at work today with just my inhalator and I told a couple of people so that should keep me in check, I had a serious wobble at lunchtime, but managed to get through it. I felt really pleased with myself, the craving only lasted about ten minutes so I need to keep that in mind each time I weaken, I realise this is not going to be easy, but I am determined this time.
I have smoked for 36 years and I hate it, how it consumes my thoughts, how I always think about it all the time.
I am not going to give up though, I will be a non smoker this time around.
How is everyone else feeling, CK have you finished your fags yet?
Pogg000 well done keep going, it has to get easier well that is what I am telling myself each time I think about it.
Once I get through the first couple of days I hope I will start to feel better.
Time will tell...
Been here for a long time and don't often post0 -
