I am still going strong, but have had a few wobbles throughout the day today, not given in yet though so I am quite pleased with myself. 7.5 hours down puffingon the inhalator, which is helping I think, although the taste is not so nice, it is keeping the cravings at bay for now, has anyone else stopped yet, or are you waiting until 1st Oct to begin?
CKhalvashi what will your plan be once those 37 are gone?
Well done!
When these 37 are done, I'm not buying again!

Well done Heffi1! Keep strong this evening.0

How are you doing Heffi1? Cos I guess this is about the time of day I'd be sorely tempted.
So think seriously - you're not an addict, just seriously tempted! If you can avoid temptation with your inhalator, that's great!
Keep strong, the first day must always be the worst - and full kudos to you for the early start!0 -
Count me in too please.
I have the willpower of a weak person with no self control so this will be hard! :rotfl:
Best attempt so far was 9 months - broken by the stress of buying a house from a complete nutter!

Granariesgirl, welcome.
Sounds like to were doing really well earlier - until you ran in to a nightmare!
So no recriminations here - but happy to hear details of your nutter purchase if it helps!0 -
Heffi1
How are you doing?
Thinking of you every hour as you are our brave front-runner!0 -

I'd like to join please.
I don't have the spare cash that I should and it's all down to smoking. I know the main motivation for giving up should be my health but really, it's my finances.
I smoked my last cigarette today. I was going to buy another packet and start on 1st October but why throw away er, smoke away more money.
This is going to be hard because 2 of my best mates smoke and one of the women I work closely with smokes. In fact, when she's not in, I don't even bother going out for one!
None of them are even considering giving up.
I just want the £130ish a month in my bank account.
So many things I could be doing with that money, including treating myself and still have spare cash. I complain about not having the money to get my nails done or have other beauty treatments as a treat, yet I buy a pack of 20 without even thinking.
Can you tell I'm mad at myself?? LOLDave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0 -
Hey Bublin1, welcome to the thread!
I think I'd be asking myself how much each cigarette costs - probably quite a lot if you're on a restricted budget.
So concentrate instead on how much better off you will be if you quit.
We're here for you as you want to quit0 -
