My head feels strange this morning lol.

But I have been to the shop and come away without a packet of
fags, normally by the second day that's when things go wrong, as I forget that I'm supposed to be giving up.

    Keep going all x

Hi pogg000, I had one of those moments earlier when I nearly forgot I've stopped smoking.

Today has been ok so far, but I'm really tired as I woke up at 2am this morning and didn't drop back off to sleep. At least I don't have any baccy in the house and I'm too tired and lazy to walk to the shop.

Keep going everyone, its worth it :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
  • For those of you doing it via the NHS stop smoking service and having to blow into the COD thingy...I blew 1 today :T I am so impressed at the difference from 26 last Tuesday. Tried to work out how much cash I've already saved (including not going out on the weekend as booze and ciggies seem to go hand in hand) I've easily saved around £100 in just a week.

Good luck to those of you starting your journey today
    BYS # 7 £0 /£1000
    Quit smoking Sept 2013 - Saved £525 (4/12/13)

Wow over £100 saved. Well done :beer:

My dilemma, I normally go to pub Tuesday evening, should I stay or should I go?
Maybe I should go and drink coke all night??
Maybe i should go and prove to myself I can do it??

This is going to be my biggest challenge, and I should be far too aware of this not being a good idea (take a guess where I am now!)

I will not smoke, even though I will be with 3 smokers tonight, one of which has already offered me cigarette.....

Well I have had the day from hell at work, and gave in at 3pm it was that or punch someone, I felt bad about it right away, but the stressed feeling had gone so I see that as a result :( I am really impressed with everyone so far.

Even though I have had one, it is a great improvement on what I used to smoke, so I am taking that as a positive and back on the wagon again.

Keep going it will be worth it in the end.

Has anyone noticed the smell yet? I am smelling smoke on people and it is not nice, which is another incentive to stop, if I smell like that then I bet I am not nice to be with...

I ended up spraying vanilla air freshener down my air vents, and chucking the air conditioning on full earlier, as it absolutely stank!

Did it first time in Vienna (to pick someone up who wanted dropping off in Craiova), and again when I dropped her off. The 'can I smoke in your car?' got me really tempted, and just for ease of not doing it, I said no.

  • I am feeling very light-headed - anyone else the same?

If you use the pen-fiddling tip, you are likely to irritate everyone within earshot if you go in for a bout of rapid clicking. My old mum thought it was a very strange thing to do.

Presumably things start to improve at some stage.
