Absolutely not, I've told my husband we have to wait til Hallowe'en :rotfl: Or actually as our gas and electric bill date is the 4th November perhaps we should wait til then...

But we live in the south east, if we were in Scotland it would be different!
  • I bought one bag of coal 5 years ago and still haven't burned it yet!

Whenever it gets really cold I just put the bag of coal on my back and run up and down the stairs!:rotfl:

If I'd waited until Halloween last year my house would probably have frozen up by then. Last Winter started very early here and we'd already had night after night of frost by then!
  • It was chilly here this morning. All my windows were covered with condensation. Next Tuesday to Friday I have to be up at 05.20 for work. I find it hard enough to get up at that time when it's warm but nigh on impossible when it's cold so have relented and set my boiler to come on between 05.05 and 05.30. It's a small flat so a short burst of heat is all that's needed to take the chill off. The thermostat's set pretty low so maybe it will come on and maybe it won't. :)

The odd hour this week only because we all had colds, the ones were you just can't get warm.

Sadly the dryer has been on... But when heating is on I tend to use the heat from them .

Looking for a heated blanket this year.

Sadly in my house, as my partner is a really 'cold blow' person, my heating has been on for weeks now :(

Even when it has been hot, she puts in on morning and night.
  • The temperature has dropped since my previous post. I'm sitting here in my T shirt and my lounge is 19.3 C adjusted down from 19.8 because the digital thermostat reads high. It might be slightly lower than that because another higher end digital thermometer reads 18.4C however that does tend to read low so it's probably closer to 19C.....Still no heating and no one else to complain. lol
  • Keep ours off as long as possible! Also in a bigger house this year that will cost even more to heat with our old boiler!Hubby and i normally argue over it ,he wants to put it on,i dont.Awkward though when my 82 year old mam is here as she feels the cold and comes from a small warm flat!
