Have you put your heating on yet?

Brrrrrr - the heating went on today with the thermostat set at 20c between 6-7AM (back down to 14c during the unoccupied periods/overnight). Boiler did come on for about 30 mins this morning.0

I'm holding off as long as possible but it won't be long until the whinging starts. It's then a very short time until full blown complaining & nagging and then it will have to go on - if I'm lucky I'll hold it off until the end of the month.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

It's even colder here today, dark and cloudy.
It seemed odd having to put my coat on for the first time today.
I'm still holding the heating off, but Autumn is definately in the air now, so we'le see.

If you happen to be a current "staywarm" customer with Eon - you can use as much electricity as you like this winter cos the scheme is coming to an end so you wont be penalised for over use.0

No working central heating so therefore no heat has been on. The electric fire I don't like using and it just hasn't been cold enough. It's still 21C in my lounge and hotter in the kitchen with the window still open.
I did recently have external wall insulation and it really has made a difference to the internal temperature. It has barely dropped below 20C since it was installed.
I don't usually put it on until sometime in October, just depends upon how cold it goes inside. Once it starts hitting around 16C I will think about it. I don't like it hot, that hot spell of 30C was torture for my hot blood.
[Edit] My browser weather report says it's 8C outside which surprises me.0 -
Goodness no....mine won't go on until at least October, if it gets cold before then (i.e when my bedroom temp goes down to 14 degrees), then it will be jumpers and blankets on the sofa.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

It really does depend on where you live. Here in the sw it is still warm and we still have the windows open, 6.30 pm but the nights are getting cooler so my slightly warmer duvet has gone on but the sheets are still smooth, cool cotton. The flannels will come out in a few weeks I think.0
