Not yet but the house is cooling down slowly from the recent really hot spell here. Can't believe that only on Thursday it was 29C here in Cambs but today it's 13-14C...brrrrr. Trying to hold out until October.....

I don't know, people have been stomping around (or, rather, listlessly laying about) for weeks moaning about stuffiness and the heat. And now that the weather is pleasantly refreshing they immediately want to make it all uncomfortable inside again.

Guess that depends on your view of what comfortable is.

Mine is being sat at a pleasant 21C, not buried under layers of clothes and blankets.

Not until after the summer bill comes which is towards the end of September. Up to then the gas fire is enough to take the chill off, but that hasn't been on yet as I haven't had chance to give it a good clean and clear the jets of dust.

Not yet. I've still got my fan on in the bedroom, my house stays pretty warm.

I aim for no heating before November but it really depends on how cold it is. I think it is each to their own on heating. I was bought up in a cold house and wa always taught to put a jumper on and this has definitely influenced me in heating or not heating my house.
I will use an electric blanket when it get colder as it is far cheaper than heating my whole house ( there is only me). I love candles and do think they make me 'feel' warmer and I love the scent of them.
    Currently my bedroom is 17'c.

Have you started having your heating on yet? If not when do you usually put it on.

I live in a 3 story house and the attic is starting to get cold (my sons bedroom) my children are 4 and 2 and im seriously considering starting to put the heating on on a night

My daughter still had her fan on in her room yesterday! Its nowhere near cold enough here for the heating to be on, I've only just put my slippers on for the first time in months, no socks and no extra jumpers. We are in Notts.

Why do you wait for a date rather than go by the temperature?

I go by temperature - but my thermostat doesn't get put up above 18 degrees usually, once the heating is switched on.
