I tried to put mine on this morning and it made a horrible noise and tripped the main breaker :(
Had to resort to a fan heater in the living room until the plumber comes later today.

Definitely the time of year now that you get chilly mornings & evenings, but need windows open around mid day (excepting today when it's remained cold and is raining currently).
  • I waited until November last year and will try and do the same this year.

Why do you wait for a date rather than go by the temperature?

Put a heater on this morning, will probably start putting them all on low during this week. Used electric blanket last night.

Have tested the system to make sure it works, it been very cold in the North east but not cold enough for the heating yet, hoping to hold out till at least October, but depends on how much colder it gets. Have had a few home improvements since last winter so may be able to hold out longer this year.
  • Have had no oil since about March, so no! Only just got a fill so imagine we'll be hitting 'boost' on the odd occasion, sooner rather than later!!

Nope. Last night was the first time I've put on a jumper since about May but I did leave the bedroom window open all day. My AV equipment is warming the living room sufficiently today. ;)
