DFw, you just sent me searching hopefully through the programme guide - but can't find Downton (hasn't it finished for now?).
Won't join you watching Homeland - find the characters simply unbelievable.debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »I've seen the dog twice this evening! don't think i've ever seen anyone finish their cigarette so quickly and go back inside. The second time they took the dog out of the garden on a lead again across the road to the field
do we think they have got the message???
Maybe. Sounds promising - well done for facing down the guy.
Propping the gate open was sneaky, and a bit risky until you were certain Neighbours had seen it - but given their attitude, understandable.
BTW, the RSPCA appear to have several branches in Essex. Might be worth chasing up the closest one to you in case the Yorkshire lot take a while to pass on the home-check request (unless you can subtly suggest that a TV crew will be hanging about outside Neighbour's house? Sorry - but they do have a certain reputation ).0 -
:rotfl:Robin I didn't get what you meant at first about a film crew, then I remembered all the t.v shows with them in
and it made sense (shocking though I hope it's not true:eek:)
Well I am exhausted today and feel a full on cold coming on. Lots of the kids friends are off sick today so i'm hoping it was last week's bug and not a new one for the kids to catch ! I took Duke to school this morning and he's been a nervous wreck around dogs since the neighbour's dog has been jumping over so guess what he stood outside the school barking at everyone. He never barks
ever. And guess who should walk by whilst he was doing this - smug neighbour with her mother and father for protection (she drops her son off in the nursery next to the school). Embarrassing . It didn't deter me from my mission though, I went home and emailed the rspc@ again with pictures this time, trying to hammer home that a homecheck clearly wasn't done and that nothing has been done concerning the fence going up!
DS1 has cleared me out of money this month (spare money that is everything else is allocated) for school trips. Otherwise I would actually cave in at this point and go and get a 10ft high fence so I can't see them (o.k 10 ft may be a slight exaggeration
) but i've no spare money and i'm certainly not using my food money to do it as it's not even my responsibility!
I've so much to do today and I just want to veg out as the weekend was so busy. I've a friend coming over at some point and i'm putting off food shopping until i've run out of milk (probably tomorrow) so I think maybe some ironing and then a cuppa in front of the t.v is in order
I'm so sorry I keep ranting about the flipping dog, it's given me a constant headache (literally) since Friday and it's just taken over everything- Including tenancy issues believe it or not !Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Have a sit down and maybe a little snooze - you will feel better. Dont pay anything for fence as i am sure when rspca do do their checks they will prob advise it, so hang on in there
dont worry about telling us all the ins and outs about it as with DH not there you need to talk it through with someone - i certainly dont mind
As for tennant i hope you can get all the money due to you as easily and quickly as possible

Thanks slm

A friend just popped over and whilst she was here I was nearly in tears! Am trying hard to pull myself together it's not that bad a situation! I had another nasty text from neighbour telling me to grow up and that dog hasn't been in my garden since I erupted . Charming. So i'm not allowed a say now about dogs tresspassing on my garden that I pay for and coming into my home. Hmm. Had an email back from rspca, didn't find it particularly helpful in terms of what will happen but assuring me that Nuka won't be hurting anyone and that the neighbours know what to do now with her in the garden (am assuming that's why she's on a lead now?) I feel like they've sided with her, or perhaps i'm being too sensitive. Their family are still there next door, a constant presence in the garden it feels like... although i've now closed my gate so I don't need to go out and do it each time I let my dog out there if I see the other dog in the garden again though it will be opened again!
Really fed up and just needing a break from it all right now it's to much stress for me (who doesn't handle stress at all well in the first place!)Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. I would make sure you use your garden as much as possible just to make sure she knows your not going to hide. Get the kids out there making plenty of noise when they get home from school rather than them messing up the house
It is hard especially when you have to live next to them all of the time and get on with them though. She should not be sending nasty text messages either. Keep them there just incase needed but dont reply as that could make things worse. Perhaps reply to rspca saying that even though they say no one is going to get hurt the presence of the big dog is scaring your dog and you never knows if it will suddenly appear. Also mention again you thought there had to be a fence that was suitable before the dog would be allowed home. Wish i could help more but here for support if needed Me, DD1 20, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/190 -
Hey DFW321!!! I found this and thought of you!

It's american but is very true - maybe post it through their door or laminate it and put it on your fence?!!!!!!
Gargh - I really feel for you - and your little Duke he does sound a bit agitated by the whole thing. Just remember dogs can feel your emotions as well so you might be exacerbating each other's feelings so remember to relax when you're out and about with him and hopefully he will too!
otherwise - good luck with the tenant and also make sure you're looking after yourself and finding time for yourself each day - you're wonderful! Don't forget that!
you can tell us as much or as little as you like - that's what we're here for!

A fence is up! Doesn't look very sturdy but it's holding for now. She's tried to jump over it already and very nearly made it. But I won't be saying anything unless the worst happens. :T (a minor victory still to me!)
Interest has been paid on accounts (all pennies) and moved across to emergency as I've a feeling I'll need it soon
My laptop battery died and it's taken three hours of fiddling with the lead (on and off..trial and error! ) trying to get it to charge! Finally did it so will let it fully charge before moving it.
Not heard from DH yet seems a long time ago that we last spoke I seem to speak to Vanwuis more often
Not been shopping yet so will do tomorrow after my course
trying to keep spends to a minimum so that any extra next week (end of month) can go to savings. Was also told I'll only be getting 2 weeks money in December for childminding as my friend has booked time off :T I should probably be crying at a loss of Money but I'm looking forward to the break :rotfl: Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46.
