Just wondering what the limit on the card is?
My DH only stopped spending when he was up to his limit!!
I used to get annoyed but then I made sure we had separate accounts as I was fed up of paying for his frivolous spending and then eventually he got so ill he could not work and had to default on his cards anyway.
He can't be trusted now with his debit card so I dread to think what will happen once he pays his debts off and gets another credit card (not any time soon as his debts are £23k+ and he pays about £18pm back)0 -
Good to know that I just don't understand how my aunt managed her financial aspect. This is the opposite. She has been working for 10+ years and all of a sudden she asked for help since the bank has to acquire her house for not paying for a couple of months??0

Hey DFW, you've done so well with the kondoing, I started well but have stopped again!
Well done on nearly hitting that £15k despite the setbacks from OH "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Morning DFW,
Glad to see that your headache has gone. Am laughing away and loving the idea of a "useful but brings no joy" category - and storing certain members of the household in that:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
People looking in cupboards:eek: I must do some more kondoing! I have managed to do three drawers since my carriers bags. VERY slowly but surely. Trouble is doing the Kondoing itself doesn't bring me joy, being out in the garden does:o so have to fit it in in small doses.
:mad:regarding DH's spending. Am lucky on that front, but he does comment on it frequently which always get my back up. I think you are doing so amazingly well - am in awe.

I can't get used to this new forum look, it looks pretty but it's confusing and not practical (yet?).
It's Pay day :T:j. Have done my usual transfers & paid ds1 his pocket money. DH's CC has been paid ( ) I put £100 on it so he has around £300+ left on it depending on how much he's spent since the 11th of April on it. Our car has been playing up I don't know whether I mentioned it, I had to disable the alarm after it wouldn't stop going off the other day and a few other things need fixing such as brakes, tyres need replacing & a few smaller things, it will add up to around £600+ we think, I was just looking at my car fund and I only have £620 in there which was earmarked for insurance which is due in July, MOT which is due in August and a service. I'm not sure what we should do, buy a new run around or get the work done on ours. Ours is a 51 plate so it's pretty old and i'm not sure if these few things going wrong with it will be the start of it all going downhill.
I have £500 in the Christmas/Birthday fund :T
I'm half way on my baby emergency fund(I should really be there by now!)
I have transferred the £500 to the savings for the house account so I have £489.30 left to find to make £15,000............
Swimming day today so it's a pizza night tonight. I've done a wash and it's blowing about (hopefully not away..) on the line. I couldn't peg out yesterday as it rained so I held off on doing a wash yesterday luckily I only had just over one wash in the basket this morning so most of it has been done, just a few bits left which I will wash tomorrow before DH gets home and no doubt fills it back up again with dirty kit. I've hoovered, tidied & made the beds and the house is clean (ish) so I think I will chill out now with a film from my "maybe" list :rotfl: I have managed to rehome 3 dvds this morning by offering to friends, I told them not to bring them back though :rotfl: if they didn't want them they had to bring them to the charity shop or give to someone else they were NOT to come back in my house!
OK will try and reply to you all now

I hope you get some more KM done, it's honestly life changing stuff  who'd have thought it! I spend around 1/3 of the time I used to on doing the housework now and my house is much tidier and cleaner than before  I am truly shocked and grateful to her method!NoOneAround wrote: »Morning DFW,

EE his limit was only £200 ....they then upped to £500, then £1200, now its around £1700
I keep saying to him please call them, lower your limit so if you max it out on £200-300 it can be paid off in a couple of pay days but he refuses. He's seriously p1ssing me off on the matter!!!

As for your rant on DH... bless you; I would have gone for the messenger message instead, but I can be a real b!tch when I want :rotfl:
Yes you do need some work; I hope he agreed! I seem to remember this was argued over and agreed at your last parting though and he did a bit of kowtowing then swanned off with his mates?
Big hugs to you. You're a super strong woman of steel! xxxabsolutely fed up with him he calls me selfish but he really needs to look in the mirror at himself. I haven't spent over £800+ on myself in 8 weeks on nothing. And I guarantee he will have NOTHING to show for it.

Good news on the lack of symptoms today from the SJW, are you back down to 1 a day now? xx
I doubt he will make it up to me, we're literally at breaking point and he's so stubborn he won't back down. If his pride is more important than us as a family then so be it i'd rather not be with him if i'm honest i have had enough now. I want my house first though.............
I haven't had my SJW for 2 days now I think I might take one today and see how I go on it, the naseau was awful and i'm scared it will come back :rotfl: i'm a wimp!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
