You are not a bad mum, you are the mum of a teenager. That is such a challenge but as I said yesterday, many of us have lived to tell the tales. Most of the time they are testing the water to see how much they can get away with and how far they can push you.

The reason I said apologise, even though as I suspected that you already had, was it gave you an in to talk through what happened now tempers were gone. It is most unacceptable for him to even think about threatening to hit a woman, let alone his mother and he needs a swift telling off for it.

I'm glad things are calmer now but just remember when things get tough with his mood swings there are many of us here who understand and although we cannot do anything to ease your suffering, we can offer words of sympathy. There is a pot of gold at the end of this particular rainbow I can assure you. :D

  • dfw, lets put them in a skip. Mine is still on pushinment. Shes got another day added to it for telling lies too.

Cleaning? my house is a midden at the moment. I have no inclination to clean.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • I'd like some chocolate cake too now :p think that will be on the list for the weekend's cooking :rotfl:the Victoria Sponge has gone :eek::eek: it was massive too  things don't seem to last long around here! I made some bread earlier and I had 2 people come into my house and say my house smelt lovely and homely :A :p

Well I had a nice easy afternoon anyway C1 went to a friend's house so I didn't have her, then as we were coming out of the school playground DD's friend came running over asking if she wanted to go play and eat dinner at her house :) so I [STRIKE]got rid of [/STRIKE] had only 3 little ones to look after today :T I wasn't best pleased though at around 6pm....DD showed up on my back door step with no adult with her. She did however have her friend, her friend's 2 yr old sister and the dog with her  They had escaped out of their back garden and come over to mine!!! Luckily my gate was open or else I think they may have diverted over to the park across a busy-ish road :(! I took her back to the house with the two other little ones and the dog and told her mum, who went mad and sent her DD up to her room. This isn't the first time this has happened though so I don't really know what to do now. The first 2 times it happened my DD wasn't over at their house but their little ones got out of their gate and came over to my house (our gardens are only a short walk from one another so not far) and I took them both back on both occasions, this may well have happened other times that i'm not aware of....?! My DD also comes home a little brat every time she has been there for example this evening she demanded to know why she wasn't allowed a room of her own and a television in it  cheeky little so and so! I sent her up to bed at 7 and she laid there shouting for half an hour too which is what her friend does (her mum's told me) argh, kids are such hard work. I really don't want to cause arguments with neighbours but I don't feel my DD's safe at her house anymore. Wow long rant, sorry :o feel slightly better now though (plus DD is asleep ;))

I spent £1.03 at the shops earlier on baking potatoes so not huge spends. The window cleaner has confirmed he will come tomorrow afternoon. I have yoga in the morning as well (really not looking forward to it :o) so spends tomorrow will be at least £16.

  • hehe sorry! nom nom! chocolate cake!!!! :D

Eeek! I'm reading about the mini strops and wondering DFW321 if I could handle it myself! Gosh! Haha! You need a slice of chocolate cake!!! I'm sure it'll all be ok though and blow over. It's amazing how easily children adopt the mannerisms of those they hang around with - for the better or worse :(

I really admire you with all these different children that you manage! I think you're amazing! :A

I think anyone who handle teenagers are amazing - I used to do teaching sessions with schools but only had classes for an hour or so at a time - I was always so relieved to hand them back to their teachers after that short a time!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

  • 235/450 on the food budget so far. I can't update my signature atm.

I'm still having trouble updating my signature? Anyone else? Or just me!

Totals so far: £248/450. Over half way in the budget and the month so I am quietly optimistic I can do this :T

    :A aww thank you :)

I think teens are the worst closely followed by 4 year olds :rotfl: my goodness they can throw some wobblers! Especially when I say "C3, DS2 come here it's time to do your reading homework" :rotfl: they scream and cry and generally are major pains in the butts! My kids single handedly (is this a word?) have put me off teaching (which was my chosen career pre DD & DS2:rotfl:)
