  • Well DD is at youth club for the first time :) it's costing £1 only and I hope she enjoys it. A friend of hers wanted her to go so her mum has kindly offered to take her and drop her back :) she lives directly behind me anyway so not going too far out of her way. I might see if I can get C2 in who is the same age as her...think I'll ask his mum if I remember. The other kids are watching a dvd so I've snuck 5 mins to myself. Will put dinner on to be ready for 5. Dh and dd should both be home by then :) and roll on bedtime I'm so tired and have a horrible muggy headache :( I need my bed!!!

  • I'm watching Jer3my Ky1e, I now remember why I don't watch daytime t.v *rolls eyes*. It's giving me a headache listening to it

Banks checked and pendings on main account checked. Everything is in the black for now. No tenancy money and I have contacted her twice this week (where is that eye-rolling smiley when you need it).

I've de-scaled the kettle and cleaned the dishwasher which was full of grease (YUK) I usually wash the pans before putting them in but DH hasn't been doing it and the build up of grease is disgusting!

Won't be a nsd today I need to get dishwasher salt & more milk. I bought 8 pints of milk on Sunday and it's nearly all gone ! I need to do a few jobs in the house but most of the housework is done :).

DD really enjoyed youth club and went to her friend's house for dinner after. I wasn't expecting that so had set her dinner out, when she didn't turn up for it I put it on DH's plate :rotfl: ....DS1 and I had an argument last night and I was upset for the entire night afterwards. [STRIKE]Children[/STRIKE] Teenagers, can be so spiteful sometimes. He told me I was the most useless mother he'd ever seen and that I had no time for him and was cruel and mean to him :(. It all started from him throwing the dog into the garden, he told me the dog jumped out of his hands, it looked to my eyes that he had thrown him. He's always hurting the dog & two smaller kids "by accident" and i'm sick of him being so heavy handed and spiteful. So I screamed at him, he screamed at me and went to hit me and I slapped him :( I scratched his face by accident and he's gone into school now with 2 scratches on his cheek. I feel awful and am so fed up I really don't know how to handle him. I told him to give me his kindle & phone as punishment (this is before I slapped him) and he refused. I tried to get it off of him but no joy he's taller and stronger than me because he plays rugby and I had no chance. DH had a word with him when he got in but this was hours after it happened as DH didn't get in until nearly 8pm. And to top it off I have to go to DS1's school later for a pre-arranged gsce meeting. :(

So anyway that's it for today. Will check over on the fly lady in a mo see what today's jobs are.

  • Sorry to hear about your altercation with DS1. Kids can be really cruel sometimes. This morning I had a slanging match with my DS1 as he wanted to buy some xbox game with his birthday money. On paper that doesn't sound like a bad thing, but his money is supposed to be for a new bike which I can't afford otherwise. He has also got no less than 5 new games recently and has hardly played any of them, yet he was going on like he gets nothing, ever! He said it was HIS money so HE could do as he pleases. I threw it at him and told him to go spend it on renting a place of his own then and then he would understand how (not) far money goes. He's 9!!!

Oh dear I remember those times well. My DD was h3ll on earth through her teens and I was fairly glad when she left home :o Oh I'd give anything to have her even in the same hemisphere now :(

DS was a delight, until trouble with him and OH caused severe behavioural problems, including stealing from me. It was so hard to deal with, I had many a sleepless night.

My only advice is my dear DF(w), you need to apologise for the slap, explaining why you were frustrated. Admitting you were wrong to act like that will go a long way to building bridges. Once that is out of the way tell him you want to talk about his behaviour and how you are there to help and support him but are after all the parent

Hugs honey, it is hard and I'm fairly sure we've all been there. Oh how I wish I was close to you today to sit and chat and eat cake :D

  • Evening :)

I apologised almost straight away and then about 3 times after Granny :o:( I really did feel bad especially as my nails were longer than I thought and the slap turned into a scratch :( . He's been ok today, spoken to me with a little more respect and not picked on the kids. .. I think he is missing his kindle and phone rather than actually being sorry for anything on his part though. I've sent DH out with him tonight for his gcse meeting, I was too tired to go. I haven't stopped all afternoon and really didn't feel like sitting in a hall listening to a speech for an hour :o i'm pretty sure DH didn't want to go either but oh well ;)

The kids were a bit of a nightmare today, they bent one of the poles on the trampoline net and were just being a pain in the royal a$$ all afternoon. My friend turned up to pick up her 3 as I was telling them all they were banned from going on it for the day :o they need to learn though, her kids as well as mine that it's just not acceptable to do that to things. I'm upholding the ban until next week (I only have her kids for tomorrow so the rest of the week they aren't here anyway!) i'm hoping it will encourage them to be a little kinder to things but we'll see...!

Dog has been walked so is laid across me flat out right now :) he's nice and warm so he can stay for now ;) I've made a cake and am just waiting for it to cool a little more before turning the sponges into a Victoria Sponge ;) I am looking forward to a slice with some tea in a mo! Kids are already in bed but are most definitely NOT sleeping I can hear them bouncing about even though they are exhausted. I'm not letting them down, i'll have to share the cake then, and then they will never sleep from the sugar :p

    xx

:rotfl: good for you! I have said similar to my son, be warned he will remember it and throw it back at you when he's a teen and tell you that you never wanted him or some other old tosh (yes just as my ds did last night!)

My son's ps3 broke it was second hand anyway but he keeps asking for it to be replaced or fixed and i've so far refused as everytime he went on it he would get moody and nasty anyway shouting and screaming at the screen  it's not healthy and I think some kids (such as my ds1) are not made for using things like this. My cousin on the other hand who is the same age as ds1 can sit for hours upon hours on one and never be affected. He comes off as happy as larry ??? Confuses me! But anyway I've digressed a little :rotfl: and what I meant to say was don't give in and buy it for him ;) I wouldn't!:p
