I hate to say it but there will probably be more arguments like this in the future. You will feel like you are the worst mother in the world and think most mothers are calm and have such polite children. So wrong, we all go through this , I have been in situations like this with all my kids as have most of my friends. Glad DS is at least talking to you, and to cheer you up I think you deserve two pieces of cake.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Thanks all for popping by
C-R your cake looks yummy, chocolate cake is my favourite, I hardly ever make it though as I am such a piggy I would actually eat it all to myself, especially if it was chocolate fudge
There's plenty of cake for all so tuck in
Amber thanks for that I really did feel like an awful mum, I was speaking to my own mum about it and she reminded me of a few times i'd gotten a slap for cheeking back and I apparently said the same nasty things as my ds1 said
oops, I apologised....is 20 years a little late for that though?
I've hung a wash out and it's gone overcast the very second I walked back into the house. How typical!!! I need to go to the shops again
I forgot baking potatoes ....i'm really not doing great on the shopping this week am I!!! I will add in spends to my signature in a mo for what I spent on milk etc yesterday. And after I've been to the shops AGAIN I will add in what i've spent there! I'm trying to keep a close eye on the budget so I can see how much i've spent.
I watched a programme last night about building a house for £100k did anyone else see it? This is something i'd love to do
he had a huge house for little more than £200k at the end of it :T (well it's huge to ours anyway...) the plot was £100k and the builds came in at a little over £100k. I really am interested in doing something like this and DH seemed to like the idea last night....may have to do some research
AND we've plenty of time until our credit scores will be up to scratch for savings
lol
I've got some bread baking, the WM has already done it's daily load, the DW will go on later and I did loads of cleaning yesterday but I will see what Flylady has in store for me in a mo. I'd like to cut the grass quickly as I can't see us getting many more chances now the rains have started! I also need to get all the winter clothes out, put summer clothes away and price up some winter duvets for DS1, DD & myself (DS2 is the only one who has one...lucky him lol)
I hope everyone is well, i've not had a chance today to check everyone's diaries out so I will try and get round some later

I saw the housebuild show too, It was amazing what he did for his money, Altho I wasnt a huge fan of the recycled metal !
I wonder if he actually finished all the rooms for that, as I noticed they didnt show his 3 spare rooms at all .. Ive done two homebuilds and Im never doing another, We finished the last one 4 years ago and I think Im only getting over it now (altho not financially .. have a whole new mortgage again ! sheeesh! ) ! lolIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -

This is what my mum keeps telling me and also every time I speak to her she always loves to throw in "I did say to you what goes around comes around and now you've a darling little teenager just like yourself" then erupts into tears (of laughter) :rotfl:. Cheers mum. I've even stolen one of her lines...."I hope when you grow up and have kids that they are JUST like you DS1!!!!" I always said i'd never say that........ho hummmmmmmm!
And cleaning is all down to fly lady thread! You should join us

Oh wow you have done two!! So I know who the expert is then and who to come to
;). I hated the metal
and said to DH I too would have wanted skirting boards and doors :rotfl: i'm so old fashioned
. His house would have suited us great, i would have stuck with the 4 bedrooms though as i've got 3 kids, who in a few years won't be able to share because of ages or gender! But wow, he had a huge house and massive bedroom all for himself. I'd take my hat off to him (if I hadn't sold them or charity shopped them all
) and to think he only had a modest income was what is spurring me on! DH earns twice as much as him (I know we've twice the outgoings though ) and once i'm settled in a proper job we should be able to afford something like he's done
I don't want to live quite as far north as Yorkshire though so I just hope land/builders/materials are just as cheap in the next county from them
