Hello
My tenant has finally paid some money, £200. It's all for savings but as i've dipped into a few places this month I had to pay those back firstthen I put the remaining £135 into the ISA savings
Savings atm:
Emergency fund: £1024.67
ISA Savings: £1135
I am still owed money from tenant so will put the money into the ISA as soon as it hits. My current account still stands at £1.35but I don't really need the £200 she paid so would rather transfer it straight out to avoid me spending it
! I have CHB due tomorrow to cover weekly food costs
and it's a NSD here so far!
This morning I got a lie in until 8am after telling the kids to go away and play for an houri'm pretty talented at just telling them and staying asleep now through it :rotfl: DH is not, so he got up at 7 with them and made them breakfast :rotfl:
I've made a loaf of wholemeal bread this morning and a banana and fruit loaf as bananas are going very brown! Also have a lentil soup mixture in the slow cooker immersed in water not cooking atm, it needs 8 hours to be ready to cook ! Might throw some old veg in with that. DW & WM are both on. Washing will have to be hung in the house as the weather is dismal. I'm thinking of investing in a heated airer, does anyone have one of these? Waste of money or not? I need to iron uniforms yet but not all of it is washed so might just leave it until tomorrow.
I got my amazon order this morning of bulk shampoo & conditioner and a magnesium sprayI tried it after my shower this morning and I was in agony for about an hour  everything was itching!!! I searched google and apparently it's common so I will carry on using it and hope it improves . I'm not in as much agony today after yoga as I was last week :T don't get me wrong, everything hurts but I actually can move this week and lift my arms up too :rotfl: let's hope next week is even better :rotfl:.
Going to make a cake in a mo, i'm hoping to have enough to give kids as treats in lunch boxes rather than buying some in on Monday. Think I will save the banana loaf for the treat, in fact I may just make another one as I still have 3 bananas left over :rotfl:....and now i've posted the peanut butter cookie recipe i'm fancying them toowhat a little fatty I am! On that note I weighed myself this morning and i'm stuck at the same sort of weight I was last time (can't remember how much it was last time exactly just know it was the 10 and half st point) I can once again fit into large ish size 10s so I think only a little more toning up and I am giving up on the diet (well not that I am on one anyway, unless you call it the cake diet :rotfl:)
DH is out with the dog & kids so i'm chilling out with a cup a soup until WM and cake is doneMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I like the cake diet philosophy
you'll definitely find you hurt less with each go of yoga, you'll also get more flexible. I love yoga, go at your own pace and you see a difference in your toning quickly.
I've not got a heated airer, but when we had the flat we used airers all the time. I hated the fact you cold taste water in the air, defo recommend an open window.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Peanut Butter Cookies:
Makes 12 so if you want more (to freeze/store) or less then just amend ingredients to correct amounts
50g butter
75g soft light brown sugar (we always use castor sugar the white one as we never have brown in works just as well)
100g peanut butter (crunchy one! we buy the cheapy one from a1di for this and the organic one for usual consumption on toast)
50g SR flour
50g Rolled oats (we just use breakfast oats from the cereal cupboard)
1 medium egg
If you want a topping (we don't always bother only do if we have it in) : 50g of unsalted peanuts
You need 2 baking sheets (we just use our roasting tin with a touch of oil on the bottom or butter to grease it) Oven needs to be at 170 oC or gas mark 3. Once you've measured it all out put the butter, sugar & peanut butter in a bowl Beat until creamy. Add flour & mix. Add Oats and mix. Then comes the fun part for kids (not for us :o) Let them use their hands to make it into a dough. Divide misture into 12 equal sizes. They can then make these into balls which they need to press flat into cookie shapes, put on baking tray and then break your egg. Beat the egg and use a pastry brush to cover each cookie with it. Use the chopped peanuts to sprinkle the cookies with and cook for 15 mins. Leave on their tray to cool then transfer to wire racks until a little colder (the colder they are the better they hold their shape!)
They are delicious btw so good luck saying no to them :rotfl:
Basic sponge cake:http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/12122/basic-plain-sponge-cake.aspx I just use something like this. Remember that the rule with this is that the sugar/flour/eggs/butter should all weigh the same then you'll never go wrong with that one! You can then add things to the mixture once you're more practiced with the simple one (such as dried fruit). Use jam & whipped cream or butter cream for the middle to make a Victoria sponge
Banana & Fruit loaf: I always use this recipe: http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/8729/easy-banana-cake.aspx I add dried fruit to it as well. It's great because I always seem to have over ripe bananas in the house :rotfl: so no need to throw away
Scones are one of my favourites too covered in whipped cream and jam *drool* :rotfl:http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/scones_1285
That will do for now as i've started my tummy rumbling thinking of it all :rotfl:
DFW: Thank youAnd we aren't allergic to anything in this house, OK maybe I'm allergic to a hard days work
I think we've got everything in the cupboards for the cookies (apart from the SR Flour and I presume demerara sugar will be OK?) so that will be a nice cheap one to get started.2018 totals:

You can use plain flour and baking powder if you have that instead of SR flourDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Afternoon all
Well I feel super lazy, don't feel like i've achieved much this weekend. My once sparkly clean house is now a pigsty once againeverything was clean & tidy on Friday and now it's an utter mess. I've attempted to tidy the front room, it seems the two smaller kids have moved every single toy from their room into the front room though and it's closely resembling toysrus!
I've spent an hour filling out an application form for home startI am utterly rubbish at filling them out though and I ramble (as i'm sure you all know) and I also didn't really know what to put, it was basically asking me to sing my own praises on what i'm great at and how I can make a difference to someone. I'm rubbish at singing my own praises
. I hope what I put will be ok.....DH has sent it off for me whilst out on his dog walk so too late to change it now.
I'm in a nice quiet house atmds1 at cinema with friends, ds2 & dd & dh & Duke out walking/biking. I was going to go, BUT, the aches from yesterday have trebled and i'm finding it hard to do anything :eek: who would have thought a bit of stretching could do this to you :rotfl:
I've ruined my NSweekend. I've ordered DS1 a bike. He has wanted a bmx for ages so we ordered one in a half price sale for his birthday (with cashback!). I think he's too old for one now but also feel guilty that I couldn't afford one when he first askedso have ordered it anyway. That is his main present, I also ordered him a jacket in the sale from J0ules (also with cashback
). Had a free delivery code and it was £29.99 reduced from £69.99 so I couldn't say no really  it was the last one too so quite smug about that :rotfl:. All the money used was from the 'gifts' fund anyway so nothing out of my main account, which of course would have been a wee miracle considering I still have £1. in it :rotfl::eek:.
Anyway back to the bike, he is starting rugby practice again soon so he needed a way to get home, he was going to take a bus into town then back out again to home but the costs were so much that we could in fact pay for a bike with one term's worth of bus fares ....hence the U-turn in getting him a presentHe doesn't need to know the final decision came down to pennies though he can think it's because we love him and we finally (4 years after first asking) got him what he asked for :rotfl:(albeit last year's design and in the sale
).
I've still got ironing to do, hoovering to do after the children (un)thoughfully brought in half the mud from the garden. Also want to get tomorrow's dinner out the freezer and finalise the shopping list for tomorrow. We will need some more bread flour but i've just realised we are on the last week of the month this week so i'm going to eek out what we have :T Will get the 25kg sack out of next months budget. Store cupboards are low as i've spent as little as possible this month (to cancel out DH's go at the shopping budget, remember that disaster ) and next month I may up it a little bit so I can replenish tins/dried goods
Also need to start looking at prices for duvets, am looking for the ones that are all season ones and snap together and apart (if that makes sense) as all our old ones are not in brilliant condition, all have been 'made to do' whilst in debt so will be nice to have new ones. And again help with my ulterior motive of saving money on the heating bill :rotfl:. Hot water bottles are coming out soon too and door draught excluders and still need to put summer fans/clothes/outdoor toys awayLots to do!
