It's a strange feeling tbh. The money's there now but I'd have to use my isa and I don't want to do that. Trying to keep a cushion in case I get I'll again. Not cheery by sensible.

So trying to decide do I pay it all off or most and keep mortgage open in case I need money at a very cheap rate? Any thoughts? Might post on MFW board ( but don't want to live there lol).

Not cheery but definitely sensible to perhaps keep that line of credit open to you. I'm sure you won't get ill again (positive thinking here!) but like you say the rate is cheap and it's nice to have a buffer. When you do have the money to pay it off and it's not coming from the ISA though, I say do it, do it! And stick all your money into a savings pot somewhere :) Of course i'm no expert so asking on the MFW board is probably the best way forward (and they will probably say the opposite to me now :rotfl:)

Awww to the dog and the horse! We found some gentle horses on one of our walks recently, the kids loved them!

Hope your cold f's off soon x
:T The horsey was so cute with Duke, but he was a little too excited today, he knew where he was going and ran off and tried to jump the 5ft fence into his field :eek::eek: thankfully he didn't get in or else he would have been trampled as the horse came running over to say hello :rotfl:.

  • Back from foraging and dog walking ;) brought back a few nasty bugs with me too  and spent half hour fishing them out with a fork from my berries!!! I collected 1.7kg of blackberries and 300g of elderberries. I could only find the one elderberry tree and only half was hanging where I could reach without falling into blackberries :rotfl: so not many got from there! I know there are pear trees around here as a friend keeps gloating about getting lots and I can't find it (she was very vague when I asked where it was !!) Hmm well that's ok cos i've kept the best and biggest blackberries a secret from everyone :p and from the looks of it I am the only one who goes there as there was so many! They were huge today and I think they will all be gone very soon so I might try to get out once more because they are all getting over ripe now :)

I've got the yummy butcher's apple and pork sausages out for dinner and I will do mash with it and gravy. I'm hungry now and believe it or not i've had enough of cake :rotfl: and want a proper dinner!! This cold weather is bad for me I will be eating non stop now :rotfl: Another NSD here too :T

  • Finally got round to flying.......

    Thursday - Bathroom and study
    15 minutes...

[STRIKE]Clean the toilet, sink and bath[/STRIKE]

    30 minutes to spare..

[STRIKE]Wipe the window ledge[/STRIKE] Clear your desk, dust/wipe it clean and replace just what should be on it
    Got an hour...

[STRIKE]Hoover/mop floor[/STRIKE] Descale the shower or bath screen/tiles

[STRIKE]Dust up high, being careful not to injury yourself[/STRIKE]
    Extra challenge:
Check doors for draughts and fix as required
    Delete some emails/favourites/old documents
Check renewal dates for Driving License/home insurance/passports/MoT/tax etc

I de-scaled the shower a month or so ago so won't bother with that, do need to do the taps again soon though! I still need to do my mountain of paperwork which is desperately needing to be filed away :( one of the worst jobs ever though! So glad i'm not a secretary I think i'd be so dis-organised :rotfl:Oh and i'm not posh enough to have a study :p

  • Tonight was come dine at DF's house :rotfl: I made sausage, mash & cabbage with gravy and all the kids were sat round the table and C1 decides to play a game of rating my dinner :eek::eek: Thankfully they all said they liked it and I got a record score of 57 out of 60 :rotfl:. DS2 sat there scooping up the mash with his hands like some sort of animal and I told him off only for him to tell me it's because it was so yummy he didn't have time to pick up the fork (hmmmmm....nice try). Then they tested my coffee cake and told me it was better than their mummy's cakes :rotfl: (don't worry I didn't tell her...) After they'd all finished every bit of it they then asked where the next course was and that they were still hungry?! WTH??????? Bah, kids!

Tomorrow I am at yoga for 90 mins :eek: I'm not sure I will survive. It's £8 a session too which i'm a little  at.. I said i'd go though and see what it was like and if it's great I may continue but I really feel like that's a lot of money . DH will be home tomorrow afternoon so I'm hoping for an easy-ish day tomorrow ;). Oh did I say I had a nap earlier too :o my cold is getting the better of me and I just feel exhausted! Hope I can sleep later now :o
