  • Urgh i've a massive headache, one I usually get when there is thunderstorms around. Thank Gawd I only had the kids for a couple of hours today! I managed to palm another off too, sort of, C2 was down for gym club after school too :j yay so DD & C2 went off to do that and I only had C1 & C3 and my ds2 :j My ds1 went to collect the two from gym club and i'd stupidly forgotten to say they were being collected by him and not me :o:o SO the teacher walked them home, all the way to my kitchen :o:o:rotfl:thankfully she was very nice about it and I felt a right muppet. Oops.

    I made the coffee cake:

It wasn't too strong tasting after all, just right :T and I was mean and waited until the child-minded kids had gone so I didn't have to give them any :o.

Kids are going to bed early and so am I! Oh and it was a NSD here too :j

:( My cake burnt on the outside, it was beautifully risen as well but I forgot to turn the temperature back down and it had burnt edges :( OH has chopped away the burnt bits and going to take it into work, the other half wasn't so bad so we're going to put it with some custard. Booo though.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Oh coffee is my absolute favourite. I'm drooling which is never a good look.

Billable days. I'm a freelancer so only get paid for the days I work , very inconvenient last couple of years :o. If I can work for 64 days between now and Christmas I can pay off the mortgage :j

It won't save me much a month as its interest only and a low rate but it means the house is all mine and no one can touch it. That'll be a good feeling :D

  • I just deleted a whole post :D I'm special like that. KJ I understand now :o (D'oh! I'm not the sharpest tool in the box eh) And now I do understand, WOW how great a feeling must that be to be nearly mortgage free :eek::eek: I wish I were in the same situation, but alas i've still got to save, then move into a house and then start paying down the mortgage :o I may be here a while......:rotfl:

I shall send you all over some cake ;) except Abba, as you don't like it you can share some of my yummy banana loaf if you prefer :D. Kerri have you tried cooking a cake in the slow cooker? They taste yummy and promise they don't burn :rotfl:

I am off to look for blackberries today I found some huge ones yesterday! And also found a horsey so we're going to take a carrot and feed him on the sly :o:D Him and dukey were very friendly towards one another they even had a little kiss :smileyhea:rotfl:

I've woken up with a bit of a cold again hoping it doesn't get worse, the headache hasn't shifted so hopefully a walk in the very fresh air might help! The two smallest kids were in bed with me this morning, I woke up to them coughing all over me. Nice. No doubt they will have given me their germs now. Will check flylady later and report back :)

It's a strange feeling tbh. The money's there now but I'd have to use my isa and I don't want to do that. Trying to keep a cushion in case I get I'll again. Not cheery by sensible.

So trying to decide do I pay it all off or most and keep mortgage open in case I need money at a very cheap rate? Any thoughts? Might post on MFW board ( but don't want to live there lol).
