Just a quick one as ds1 is demanding the laptop for homework  after i said to him "ds1 are you finished with the laptop?" and him saying "yes!" i've had it 30 minutes and he's demanding it back! KIDS!
NSD today and we've managed to cobble together dinner from cupboards/freezer for 3 days now :T i'm holding out as tomorrow there should be a £5 off £40 spend voucher in the Mirror. There had better be now anyway after me holding off for so long :rotfl:
I think ds2 wants a new bike for xmas even though he got one last xmas! We went on a bike ride today and he was really struggling because the bike was too small. I can't raise the seat anymore I don't think so I think that will be both smaller kids main present by the look of it! Shame as his current one looks brand new still! Found a lovely bike on am@zon for dd -the exact replica of mine with wicker basket and everything
however it's £148
not sure if that is too much really!
Right best go, will reply to you all tomorrow after my HS meeting & shopping! Oh and swimming......hmmm maybe Friday you see me if I can't get on tomorrowxx

Sell DS2's old bike to partially fund the new one?!? Give it a shine up, turtle wax the wheels etc and put it on gumtree. I am sure someone would love it! And give you a good price if it looks new
I got my first adult bike when I was 11. I could just touch both sets of toes on the floor securely, with the seat at its lowest and my dad said I could have it. A purple boys raleigh activator, with 21 gears and front shock absorbers.. I've been using it ever since, but when I had Jellytot, I had to send it home as her nursery was the storage space back then! Nowhere to keep the bike, so off it went and a few months ago my 15 year old nephew borrowed it and decided he would like to keep it
very happy. Especially as it is 17 years old and STILL being used....
I am currently looking at laptops online... sigh. I have the money.. but I daren't spend despite the fact that this laptop screen is currently hanging on by half of one hinge and a wire. And loading MSE crashes it for a few minutes at a time... :rotfl: Still, no harm in looking eh :A xx

Ahh Lilt my first bike was a second hand raleigh road bike. It was great and would have lasted forever had I not been green eyed and wanted to swap it for a shiny new one
which by the way lasted about 2 years before breaking on me
learned me a lesson though
Good idea on selling DS2's old one (eek hate to say old as it's not!! But you know what I mean) ...laptops I saw you were dithering (for good reason) about getting a windows 8 one! What about an apple one? My MIL has a refurbished one and it has lasted her a good 7/8 years so far
So let me think....not been on for a few days have I. Well first things first I have had some spends. £1.10 on 2 mirrors for vouchers...£72.90 on weekly shopping (well 6 days :undecided ) £10 on petrol, £20 (with cashback due) on 5 0deon vouchers through gr0upon. Am hoping to use these on Sunday for a treat :T. I've paid odds and sods across to the isa but it takes 48 hours to catch up so I haven't done an end of month tally yet on that. I have updated the signature to show where savings are that have been logged so far
DH is being a pain. 'Nuff said.
I've been roped into helping out with a fund raiser tomorrow for HS. I was there all day nearly today...ok well it felt like itI did get a lot done though and learnt how to use a laminator....and also how to break one
I got the paper stuck inside and we had no way of getting it out. Oops?! Need to fill out my expenses for hs too before I forget. Yesterday it was a training session and we got a free lunch out of it :T and a talk from the samaritans. One of the ladies got our attention very quickly......"yes we get an awful lot of sex pests on the phone with their fantasies, we learn to tell who is genuine and who is just getting a kick out of talking to us very quickly" the 2 ladies delivering the talk must have been no younger than 70!!! OMG I & everyone soon turned to look and listen to them :rotfl: !
So I have around £17 in the bank until Monday when child benefit is due but I'm hoping I won't need it and that I can put that to "October's income" on ynab....that will be a first.
So hoping that i've had the last of my down in the dumps days now as have been very miserable this week. Hate feeling down and miserable it doesn't help anyone really!
I'm sorry i've neglected diaries. I have been reading but it's super hard to post on my cracked phone and ds1 keeps stealing the laptop ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT!! Been on TCB this morning and have logged a claim because some cashback never tracked. It's annoying when this happens but claim is logged now and hopefully it will be honoured, £5 is £5 :money:. I have £168 which is pending on there too so hoping it's all confirmed and paid to me very soon
We (me and 2 ladies wanting to fundraise for HS) made £100 yesterday :T it was a fun day and I didn't mind being there for once. Usually I avoid these family days like the plague, but I was busy, I had 2 nice ladies to talk to and I was behind a table and not left wandering around on my own so I really enjoyed it :T DH was by the beer tent  surprise surprise! This is what usually happens and I end up by myself all day! I will drop the money in to HS tomorrow as I don't want to have it in my hands for a whole week before my usual Friday visit, can you imagine if any went missing!
Today will be a chilled out day I think, perhaps a visit to the park and a cleaning up day and getting uniforms ready. Kids are exhausted from yesterday as there was lots of free rides/bouncy castles/free ice cream & food so they had great fun! Only ds1 spoiled it by sulking behind our table and he only wanted to talk to me when I was already talking to customers  in the end I told him to go home as it was like he was having great fun watching me try and talk to him as well as lots of people at the table. As soon as customers went he was silent!!! I don't know why he has to spoil everything all the time.
I've checked the bank and child benefit is pending for tomorrow as well as v1rgin bill (hopefully second to last one of those :T) I need to cancel my mobile phone contract too next month sometime and try and get my phone unlocked to put a PAYG sim in it. I am trying to claim on my mobile insurance to fix the screen. I have been paying for it for 2 years and thought I may as well try and get it fixed before cancelling it! We'll see i've never done it before so not sure how it all works. I've emailed them asking for the idiots guide on how to do it.
Washing has been out all night and is still wet! Sun has just poked through so hopefully that will help dry it a littleI hope so as i've another load in the machine which will be done very soon :rotfl: am determined to not put the heated airer on just yet though!
xx

Just updated YNAB and reconciled accounts before payday on Tuesday and here's where we stand so far for Sept :
£390 / 400 spend on groceries
£90/ 100 on fuel (hardly used the car so I could save a few pennies there)
£92/ 100 on Spending money :T
£24/ 50 on restaurants/take out
£66/ 50 on clothing
£101/ 120 on kid's clubs :eek::eek:
£220/ 100 (oops) on days out (double eek! But includes a gr0upon voucher for 5 tickets to 0deon and zoo passes for the year)
£1054 to savings :T:T:T (HOWEVER this was sadly not ALL to house saving fund- BOOOO- It was spread out over several different savings pots! Including xmas and the car)
£565 to household bills (and all other DD's due out of my account).
So all in all actually not a bad month really. Lots of things on budget or only slightly over. It was the zoo tickets & signing up to plu$net that put me out a bit but luckily i had funds to cover it. Unfortunately my emergency funds have dwindled to very little now because of it. Hopefully the savings I will make from leaving v1rgin will help even it all out eventually :rotfl: I live in Hope of saving a few pennies here, there and everywhere

I somehow messed up on calculations with new house and thought I was closer to the magic £11k mark than I actually am. damn! Never mind only a couple more hundred and I will be there!

Have done 3 washes and 4th is in :T hoping it will all dry now though! Have to make the most of the dry weather whilst its still so nice
I can't believe I'm in shorts and a vest top and its October next week
Aside from ironing, hoovering and putting clothes away I'm having a lazy day in the house. I've sent dh out with the kids and dog so that saves me a job and I think dh is doing dinner (in his effort to make up for being a div all week....I will make the most of this it happens so rarely lately)
hope you've all got sun amd warmth too and are enjoying it

Hey DFW!!
Loving the difference in sigs considering the overspend (totally worth it!) - You will make the money back in no time at allI have faith!
Grumpy teenagers... my nephew is one of those. I am surprised you managed to get yours out of the house. Mine (the one who took my bike) is permanently ensconced in his room on his gaming laptop/xbox. And his xmas present/savings are going towards an £800 gaming PC.. - I ought to start a 'teenage presents' fund now, to be able to keep up with this level of spending...
Sorry to hear DH is being a pain. I accidentally told Jellytot that daddy was a T*t earlier today. Feel very bad for that. But he was a t*t on the phone..lol I suppose I am lucky he is teetotal but at the same time when I have a drink (usually 1 glass of cider once every few months!) he looks at me like a recovering alcoholic who has just had a bottle of vodka
Lots of lovehope you're having a fab Sunday!

Aha we cross posted!!
I have done 2 loads of washing, but there isn't a breath of wind so it is just... hanging there. Sheets which always take so much room. At least it isn't towels or I would have to relent and put the heating on to do it. I've also done all of Jellytots ironing *fingers in ears about my own* so am feeling positively angelic! About to go and batch cook a few meals too:A

My DS1 is exactly the same re choosing the worst time to try to talk to me. He usually decides he needs to tell me a days worth of conversation the minute I tell him it's time for bed!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi DFw, :hello:
Just catching up..
Busy busy busy in your household, as usual.
Teenage boys are a law unto themselves:
One of mine spent three years in bed (he was perfectly agreeable and helpful whenever summoned, but always returned to his default position; prone, usually reading comics or drawing cartoons).
Two went through a 'mucky' stage; refusing to wash properly or change his underwear as often as he should. Solved that by sending him on holiday to a mate who had two teenage girls - a week later she complained he was spending so much time in the shower that she had to ask for an extra contribution to her utility bills! :rotfl:
Three teased Four unmercifully - until I lost it; dragged him by the collar to One and Two, and said the only way he'd learn was by being on the receiving end! All three of 'em were so shocked by what I was suggesting [as was I when I saw their expressions!] that the older two took Three off for a brotherly chat, which did result in him being much more mindful of his behaviour thereafter.
Four was an angel; can't remember any hassle from him at all.
They're all different, aren't they? :cool2:0
